Re: OFFICIAL: SHAWN CLARK HC

I'm planning to watch the Rose Bowl (Wisconsin) and Pinstripe Bowl (Wake) for a preview of next year's P5 opponents. My feeling is that Wake next year will be a similar challenge as North Carolina was this year but Wisconsin is a huge step up over South Carolina...it's an opportunity for Mr Clark t...

Re: New Orleans Travel options—cost

I've never flown Spirit, but my understanding is you can take a personal item like a backpack at no charge, but you'll be charged if you have an actual carry on luggage bag. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I would just throw what you need in a backpack and be done. I just googled the policy and I ...

Re: New Orleans Travel options—cost

I have never flown Spirit Air. Love the initial flight cost but that bag fee is ridiculous. I am cheap but am curious. If I am able to go and fly down the day of the game and fly back the next morning I really don't need much in the way of clothes. Does Spirit charge for any carry on? I really hate ...

I just want whoever can recruit studs. If we can lure a few 6'6" 300 lb road graders that would be cool also.

Re: Who stays, who goes?

I think that any posts about the coaching staff structure at this point are basically people posting opinions or hopes. We should know more over the next two weeks. I do think Clark being confirmed as our new HC will speed up the process because we will have more current staff remain. I would think...

Re: Show some Mountain love..... be kind....

I had suggested that all Drinkwitz related threads simply get deleted. Someone commented that they would die on their own. Hopefully but doubtful. Some folks can't let it go and move on. We will be in great shape with Shawn. Go Apps!!

Re: Who stays, who goes?

So is it a given that Clark will be the OC? I’m assuming he will make the same base as the other guy? Same basic incentives? We should be ahead of the game a little with some extra cash to pay some guys aren’t we? I have no idea how all of the money swap works.

Re: OFFICIAL: SHAWN CLARK HC

Five years ago if we had this coaching movement would we make the list of front page articles on ESPN’s college football page? Nope

Re: OFFICIAL: SHAWN CLARK HC

From time to time we say or ask for certain threads to come down. This time it should really happen. Please delete the Drink related threads. He’s gone and the Clark era begins. Zero point in going on about that other guy any longer- 19 plus pages on one is enough.

Re: Doug Gillin?

All things considered, this could turn out to be a much better week than what was forecasted on Sunday evening Makes me wonder if the contingency plan wasn't already in place. I was told that people in athletic administration knew that Drinquits was putting his name out in the market as early as Oc...

Re: Thank you Drink

Has anyone thanked Drink for taking that wishy-washy offensive coordinator with him. Maybe the next guy will have the cajones to keep his foot on the gas and keep games out of doubt that don't need to be close.

Re: Drink Interviews Update

When I heard the "fake news" bit my reaction was the same as the other many times I heard Drink speak. He seems like a nice guy, good family man but overall he is a smart ass. I watched a lot of Cafe Portofino Mountaineer Talk segments with AW. Drink came across as a smart ass plain and simple. Mayb...

Re: New Orleans Travel options—cost

Ok might bite the bullet and take my son. I tried to read all of the posts. Flying out of RDU Monday. Game and hotel then back next morning. That’s basically a 24 hour whirlwind I know. Give me a good hotel, preferably reasonable where App folks are staying. Where is everyone partying pre game? How...

Re: Article: 5 Teams that got shafted

I have mentioned on other threads that in my opinion a tiered bowl system (more than what currently exists) would be much more equitable and frankly more exciting as the season unfolds. They NCAA or bowl committee could rank the bowls by importance/prestige if they wanted to. We already have the top...

Re: Thank you Drink

I believe it was my freshman or sophomore year that Mack Brown spent his one season coaching. If memory serves me we went like 7-4 but damn you would have thought Bear Bryant had taken over. People went nuts and there was talk of stadium expansion even then. The dude bolted for greener pastures and ...

Re: Thank you Drink

Just read the the recently fired coach at Ole Miss has been named the offensive line coach at Georgia. Other than having some nice cash in his bank account that is pretty much how it goes when you take a head coaching job at one of the delusional SEC schools, lose games (gasp no way), get fired a ye...

If we play defense like we did in the 4th quarter of the championship game it will be close.
I don't think Shawn is gonna to go conservative at all. We should score 60.
