Re: Most memorable play ever?

This thread could go on forever. So many great memories from over the years. I can't speak to just one play, but I remember when Elder went down, and skinny freshman Armanti came in and showed off that speed, eventually scoring a 7 yard T.D. I looked at my buddies and said, "The future has started ...

Re: Shawn Clark | Appalachian State | Grade: C+

I get it. On paper, it isn’t a flashy hire. He isn’t known as an offensive genius, or a coordinator from a P5 school, much like the staff that he put together for the most part. What these guys don’t know or won’t grade is his passion and heart for SPECIFICALLY this school, and this team. I feel Tha...

Re: Assistant Coaching Position Assignments

It's a different feel but somehow similar to last year's staff. Lots of "App guys", so they get the benefit of a doubt when they outsiders didn't. Now we see if our App folks can continue the success.... I see no reason they won't but you never know. go apps! Not worried about Cardwell as Oline. Da...

Re: Assistant Coaching Position Assignments

Really interested to see how the coordinator positions perform long term. Both have lot’s of experience and lots of returning talent. Can they continue the success and upward trajectory of the past? I really hope so. I like having Cardwell back on the sidelines, he is the 🔥 we missed last year. Bras...

Re: Robert Nunn

Nunn is from the small OK town of Apache...<1,500 in population. Boone will be a metropolis. Looks as if he was graduating from OK State about the time Jim Garner (former App State AD) was named AD for the Stillwater Cowboys. Nunn served as team captain for a couple of Big 8/Big 12 championship tea...

Re: Hmmmmm

If he had 1/3 that much passion for App, we may have beat Ga Southern. The fact we never saw an emotion from him close to this shows he wasnt fully committed to App. Don’t know anything about the player, but it was just a 3* recruit. I’m sure he is a good player, but it’s not liked he is the #1 ove...

Re: Back To Early Spring Ball!

I always figured our reasoning behind it was to acclimate guys to the elements more so than time to recover... Boone Feb weather helps prepare for Boone November/December weather. The Georgia Southern game was cold... the wind had a lot to do with our offensive problems but it was the first App gam...

Re: Back To Early Spring Ball!

I kind of like the later practice, because of the possibility of a spring game, but if they feel an earlier practice helps them recover for August, then I am fully behind that. More chance to recover and more time to get in the strength and conditioning program. Excited to see what the new S&C guy ...

His bio from Ohio. He definitely has some good experience and results on STs and also TEs and recruiting.
Will he be the TEs coach and Watts move over to RBs?

I grew up just across the river in Davidson County. Salisbury used to be a nice place to visit, and we went there for errands more than Lexington. Surprised to hear of all the violence and issues there the last few years.

Re: Who stays, who goes?

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. I am sure that SC asked about those stints during his vetting process. If he was satisfied with the answers then that is good enough for me. What opinion am i sharing? Literally just sharing info about the guys past. Ok. You are strongly suggesting that h...
