Re: BGP
I think the “balls and strikes” is attributed to them no longer having “insider” access and being mad about it. They had a relationship with Clark and whether protecting their relationship or access kept them from stating the hard truths. Loggains isn’t allowing anyone inside and they miss having th...

Re: What are the "ugly truths" about the football program?
IMG_3483.jpeg If this is true it is absolutely unacceptable and is definitely part of the reason for our suck. I have a lot of thoughts about this. 1:we give them a full scholarship and probably NIL. Is it Apps responsibility to feed them every single meal year round? 2: they mentioned that they tr...

Re: What are the "ugly truths" about the football program?
Loggains only knows NFL & SEC football as a staff member or player. I would expect the expectations & "care" factor to be increased by this staff. Even if he retains some, I believe we'll see a lot of the things fans want; spring game, more media availability, uptick in recruiting. The only differe...

Re: What are the "ugly truths" about the football program?
Ugly truth is we continued to try and do things the way they used to be done and not adapt to the players we had. Chase Brice was a generational arm, and we tried to establish the run and not pass much, and tried to run the same offense we did with Zac Thomas and Taylor lamb.

Re: Realistic coaching options for 2025...
Brown's success* (1 shared titles in 3 years) was pre SBC expansion. It isn't close to the same league anymore He had Troy nationally ranked. He won in the non-conference and had some upsets along the way. You don’t get ranked by just winning your conference games as a G5. The sun belt was much wea...

https://footballscoop.com/news/updates-coaching-searches-ucf-purdue-app-state-charlotte-college-football The OC from Mizzou who doesn't even call plays? That's it? Jesus. And Tre Lamb has interviewed with Charlotte. Wouldn't that be something. Nothing like being proved correct within the first four...

Re: Realistic coaching options for 2025...
Born in Boone. His bio says Starkville, MS. Wikipedia is only place I saw birth location referenced. Starkville is where he went to HS. Perhaps it is right, but Sparky was in Iowa ‘81, ‘82 before joining Mack in Boone in ‘83. Don’t see a connection to Starkville until 90’s. Does it really matter??

Re: Coaching Question
If we are searching for a new coach, I would be interested to pursue the Offensive coordinator at Mizzou or DJ, co-D coordinator at Mizzou. The OC has a nice offense. Just doesn't have the Jimmy and Joe's to compete against good teams in sec week in and week out. Not being a smartass, but he also h...

Re: Realistic coaching options for 2025...
I do not understand the enthusiasm for Lamb, who *checks notes* has a worse record than Shawn. Please: Someone explain it to me like I'm three years old why Lamb would make a great fit and is someone who could led us to championships and the Playoff (which DG said is a goal here!). Because his last...

Re: Cignetti
JMU fans on another board claim he's coaching in their bowl game. I have seen no confirmation of this. I find it hard to believe Indiana would not want him there immediately to nail down their recruits and search the portal for immediate help. He's gonna need it. He is. Gotta give him props for tha...

Re: The James Madison Way
The fact JMU voted to not allow eligible teams leaving the CAA to transition to FBS to participate in conference championship games, but now want others to ignore those same rules for their benefit is the main reason I want them to have to sit this out.

Re: Who?
I bet the same people screaming for Clark to get fired would be the same ones questioning his loyalty to App if he had 3 great seasons and left for a P5. Loyalty is a 2 way street. Side note, Obviously winning is a VERY important part of being the HC, but running a classy program with high character...

Re: Who?
Sounds like best case scenario that is not going to happen, given what Stonewall just said is: Clark, Sloan and Ponce remain and we hire Elliott as Coach in waiting for 1 year similar to what we did with Satterfield. Most likely scenario: We win USM and maybe 1-2 more, Clark comes back. Worst case ...
