Re: Official City of Trees prediction thread
I always predict with my heart and not my head. I picked us to beat Clemson. Ouch. Like many I have no idea who our team is yet. App- 61 Boise- 24 Why not. Significant number this week Hope we are somewhat healthy and we aren't the TO machine we've been and the score isn't APP 24 Boise 61 My points...

Re: Week 4 games
No doubt that post game comments are loaded with "coach speak" but teams enjoy beating a dominant program that is "down". We all know the status of App, but feel free to continue beating the drum if you think it helps. I agree with that part about beating a dominant program when they are down. The ...

Re: Week 4 games
I believe some coaches simply try to be nice after a game when they say things like circled a game and other general comments about the team they just beat. It’s all opinion and what not but the whole “their Super Bowl” seems a bit overblown to me. I don’t know who else So Miss plays but they most c...

Re: Week 4 games
OK State was winless in conference last year and looks bad. I believe they were favored by 11.5 tonight. Wish I had laid a bundle. That line looked ridiculous.

Re: Week 4 games
Makes me wonder why some schools keep trying to play football at a higher level. Some never get over the hump and keep pumping huge money into the effort. In my opinion college football, especially at the FBS level simply has too many teams (similar to most professional leagues). It simply isn’t sus...

Re: AP voter doubles down
All you have to look at is USC (3-0) one spot below Notre Dame (0-2). How many teams after week 3 have been winless yet still in the Top 25?

Re: Week 4 games
All things considered I would rank paying a massive buyout to a college football coach to basically just go away ($22m) among the top 5 most insane wastes of money. There are obviously plenty of examples in society as a whole but in the sports world this absolutely blows my mind. If I recall didn’t ...

Re: QB depth chart for Boise
We must at all costs avoid playing Paul Crew. App State can Ill afford a gambling scandal and besides his former team thought that Appalachian State was no more than a tune up game. We also don’t need another game where the offense waits until the 4th quarter to attempt a comeback.

Re: Vol Football (Aguilar watch)
I’ll admit I tuned in and watched a good bit of the UT game Saturday and had that fleeting thought that if JA lit up UG and UT won would his name start being knocked around as a Heisman contender. He did really well Saturday and is off to a nice start. Personally at this point I don’t really care mu...

Re: So Miss discussion
Help me understand exactly how some of you big NIL proponents believe it would work at App. How much money would it take (theoretically) to get us to whatever plateau is expected here. I’m really not trying to be argumentative nor am I pointing the finger at anyone here. I just read that it’s going...

Re: So Miss discussion
How many players on the roster have been at App for 3 or more seasons? I think what you will see (aside from 15 or so usual powers) is an annual shift of the next two tiers. Some will be good, some ok and some bad. I also believe there is a reason why certain players who transfer don’t look very goo...

I’m baffled by you guys who simply throw out the blanket excuse of us not paying enough money. I’ve got a news flash for you. For an incredibly huge percentage of fans it’s not that important. So the sure fire way to get us to what, 9-3 and the Camden Bowl is to magically uncover $20m more in stupi...

I also need help understanding the money logic. Exactly how much stupid money do some of you think it would take to get this program to acceptance? Would $20m a year do it? Look how many traditional power schools are gonna be 6-6.

Re: So Miss discussion
I have a question for that staff of message board guys who I advocated to stand on the sideline. How many reps do you think our freshman quarterback got this week with the first team? To start with the coach griping is premature. He has not dropped sure touchdowns nor has he jumped offsides and he h...

Re: So Miss discussion
I’ll borrow the “let that sink in” phrase. Wait until the top 25 comes out next week and ZERO G5’s are there. Let that sink in. The divide is wider. That darling USF got drilled.
