Re: ESPN3 Money Opportunity Waste?
I get that blank screen with the logo a lot when watching Monday Night Football through Sling. National commercials play. Those are the ones ESPN sells. For some reason, Sling/Dish doesn't fill the inventory and that absolutely is a waste. During App games, I mostly just get Sun Belt and school comm...

Re: Please don't......
We had a game-tying kick blocked against Furman in 2005 (regular season). That kicker turned out to be pretty clutch.
We lost our last playoff game on a blocked PAT. That kicker's an NFL punter now.
It's not always just the kicker's fault and we've got to give these young players a chance to grow.

Upshaw's 4th down conversion was all heart. Watching on TV you could tell, he was clearly spent and he basically dragged himself to the 1st down.

"all seating inventory available for sale"
I assumed there was a cap on single game tickets they'd sell this early in order to continue to sell season tickets. But, I'm getting a "season was not found" message here.

Re: Comments from new SGA President
A lot of the debate here has centered around fee increases since the FBS/Sun Belt move. I don't think that was Howard's point. We've been talking about student fees for 2014 through next year...the Sun Belt years. No, the athletics fee hasn't gone up much since 2014 when it was $701. But, in 2010-20...

Re: 2016 Yosef Seating Stadium Layout
Think of it like this: "Purchase 5, get 1 (Miami) FREE!" Individual game tickets for every game except Miami are $40. $40 x 5 = $200. Same price as a season ticket. Purchase 5 get 1 free...with a $500 surcharge. The $200 price tag for season tickets isn't outrageous. It's a fine deal. But, season t...

Re: 2016 Yosef Seating Stadium Layout
This is ambitious. We'll still see 30,000+ for Miami. So, while I get why people may not like that $60 number, I understand it. It's in the ballpark of what in-state ACC teams would charge for Miami...I think. But, I don't get the expansion of the $500 donation-required seats. A lot of people are go...

I posted something similar to this in another thread.
That UNC/Duke basketball game was the highest rated regular season game of the year.

Boy, do you know how to write an attention grabbing headline.
If you took App and GaSo out of the conversation, and did a head-to-head challenge with the Sun Belt and the current SoCon, the Sun Belt MIGHT lose one.
If the current Sun Belt played the FCS top ten, I think it could go either way.

Re: 2016 OOC Schedule..JUST FOR FUN PEOPLE
- Tennessee's doing that slow, stair-step climb with Butch Jones. 5-7, 7-6, 8-4. They'll compete for an SEC East title. So, that'd be an upset and a pretty big one. - We should handle ODU. They're better than 49-0. But, we should handle them. - Miami's interesting. While they were looking for a coac...

Re: Saturday's Bowl TV Ratings
The highest rated games were on ABC. Not surprising. Casual football fans were probably watching BYU vs Utah and the NFL game while we were playing. I'd be very interested in seeing the local ratings in North Carolina. Because, I bet a very large chunk of that viewership came from App fans in-state....

Lamb's last touchdown pass broke the school record for passing touchdowns in a season. He made the biggest play on the last drive to get us in field goal range.

If the person who hired you leaves a company, there's often reason to be nervous. Terry Holland probably doesn't fire Ruffin unless there's a reason that most of us can't see. Terry Holland is not the ECU AD. I know. Terry Holland hired him. Terry Holland is no longer the ECU AD. Hence... If the pe...

Re: Season Ticket Sales
That $500 donation is worth a lot more to those student athletes and it one of the easiest checks I write each year. I don't give to the Yosef Club based upon what I get in return. That's cool. So, do you think the best move to grow season ticket sales is to take a philanthropic approach? I think t...

Since the game is sponsored by Raycom Media, maybe we can impress their executives enough to want to carry some games on their TV stations.

Re: Season Ticket Sales
If you want a pair of season tickets near the 50 yard line, you have to donate at least $500 to the Yosef Club. Then, you buy your pair of tickets for $175 each. You'll also get a good parking spot. So, it'll cost you $850. Or. You can buy a pair of single-game tickets for every game on the 50 yard ...
