BOT meetings seem to be unlisted on App’s athletic channel so I was lucky to find this

"At App State’s Hickory campus, Mountaineer student enrollment grew by 2.3% from fall 2024 to fall 2025. In its third year of operation, App State Hickory serves 523 students — a population that includes 276 first-generation students and 380 students from North Carolina counties classified as rural ...

Re: 2025 Women's Volleyball Season
Bringing in 7 is interesting. 4 seniors on the roster. I'm sure the portal will subtract and add players here and there, but 10 presumably not graduating + 7 incoming freshman, feels like a huge team.

Re: 2025 Women's Volleyball Season
Speaking of commitments, the resumes for the incoming athletes in softball and track & field are as good as I can ever remember. The new facilities are helping. When they first removed the track from football the track program didnt have a home meet for 3 years and nowhere to practice. The old soft...

Re: GA St discussion
i dont disagree on youtube, but on facebook, these air live. i have no problem with them starting the video early so that people can get their facebook notifications that a live video has started, and can join beforehand so that you dont miss the beginning. i dont think it makes sense to air it live...

Re: Game day Operations
Also have a question. Do other stadiums show replays of reviewed calls during the entire review? Some of the replays shown on the scoreboard were really weird. Like what the officials were seeing. What a weird thing to be upset with. That's exactly what it was. We were seeing what they were seeing....

I've heard that theyre going to put seats on Miller Hill in some capacity, i think i heard permanent seating. As I write this, I honestly dont even remember who I heard that from but I think it was someone I trust to at least semi be involved in those conversations. (i realize this isnt all that hel...

2025 Women's Soccer Season
first regular season athletics contest of the year tonight, the lady apps beat wcu 3-2. only watched the first half and they looked good, up 2-0 at the break and looked in control. came back to see they won 3-2 on a last minute goal from sophomore ellie garrison - who looks like a star (2 goals, her...

I'm in Peacock and have a numbered spot. Curious how easy it will be to find and driving around other tailgates/tents/chairs if I dont get there super early. Anyone know of a way to see where my spot is, short of driving through and looking? Had dinner at the Local this weekend and totally forgot t...

Re: Staff Reductions Coming To ADs
The benefit to adding 'coach' to the titles of the basketball staffs is that it allows them to be on the court and touch the ball during practice. The NCAA rule changed how many 'coaches' you were allowed to have. Prior to that, I'm pretty sure even having Fey or Martin rebounding during practices w...

We talked about this when the house case was first settled. To quote myself, "Just so people understand what reallocating existing funds means, potentially: cutting sports, cutting staff, reducing scholarships from teams that arent football and basketball, reducing budgets (both for teams and operat...

Re: Staff Reductions Coming To ADs
I would love to see a complete list of all the duties of everyone on our staff directory page. I'm sure if we did an audit we could see that we could cut 10-15 positions in the athletics department and I am sure we have bloat in academics as well. Let's have everyone email Gillian 5 bullet points o...

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
In the last 35 years, we've had 30+ wins 9 times, two of which were 2023 and 2024 under Kermit. Six of the other 7 were in the Chris Pollard run. So we hit your goal 25% of the time. That can be the stated goal, but I think that's also going to lead to disappointment and a lot of coaching turnover i...

Re: FB Play By Play 2025
Present is a great play by play man on the BB broadcasts. Especially good with no color man. Does it very well by himself. If Witten does not return it should be Present 100%. He sounds like Jerry Seinfeld I used to agree with you, and then noticed it a lot less in this years baseball season. I don...
