Re: Sunbelt Expansion... additions?
Neers’ of Howard Knob @AppStateNeers · 7m I’m seeing and hearing from multiple places a lot of smoke that the Sunbelt will announce USM as a new member sometime in the near future. Golden Eagles are a good football brand, and will hurt C-USA. Will be interesting to see who else is added. What? When...

Re: Sunbelt Expansion... additions?
Without Memphis, UCF, Houston, and Cincinnati, the AAC is hardly more competitive than CUSA. Bowl tie ins and TV money will soon be gone (if it doesn’t expand with solid replacements). Hard pass. Say UL joins with us. You don't think SMU, Navy, ECU, USF, a rising Tulane is better than playing a Sun...

Re: AAC just lost their big 3
If the AAC was as great as people would like you to believe they are, then Houston, Cincinnati, and UCF would not have left. Sorry, but the East Coast Conference already exists www.eccsports.org. I honestly cannot tell if this is a troll, which may be his/her brilliance. Why would a G5 team leave i...

Re: AAC just lost their big 3
The AAC is no longer an attractive option for Appalachian, either the ACC-SEC or a new regional archrival conference of Marshal, Liberty, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Coastal Carolina, ECU, A&T, Charlotte, and Appalachian. Anything less would be a compromise that would hurt Appalachian in the l...

Re: AAC just lost their big 3
Why would we not go to the AAC if we could bring UL with us? Coastal has had one good season and who knows what GaSou is doing down there. Wouldn't playing SMU, ECU, Navy, Memphis (who the powers that be all look at as better than the Sunbelt traditionally) be better than playing South Alabama, Texa...

McNinch Street opens at 3:30 and has spaces available if anyone is still looking. Think it was $43.

ECU Tailgate
Apologies if this is a thread somewhere else, I didn’t see it.
If you’re not doing the YC tailgate, what lot are we tailgating in? Need to get this locked down.

Re: Favorite High Country Restaurant
In college 05-09. The ACP at Los; Buffalo Chicken wrap and 1.50 bush lights at Klondike; The Johnnie Dee at McAdoos before it went south after the renovation; a greasy gyro at Parthenon; Boone Bagelry; Boone Saloon on Tuesdays; wings and murphys fries at Murphys; Boone Drug on King Street; the break...

Re: Peterson to Illinois?
We should be looking at Tom Knotts. At Dutch Fork Unless something has changed, he does not have an interest in the college game. https://www.wltx.com/article/sports/high-school/football/101-4ca2e3bf-d0c4-4b95-9c21-31886782db1c I grew up about 2 mins from Independence high school in Charlotte and a...

Re: Marshall Coach Let Go
This is delusional unless there are some off the field issues we don't know about. A WV guy (which is big to programs in that state) and was apparently willing to be there indefinitely (11 seasons and counting) which we know all to well is a rarity at the G5 level. He appeared to fix all of the cult...

Re: Seniors
I really can’t believe some of the bull crap some of you guys type. Are many of you completely oblivious to the insanity of this season? We went like 3 weeks with nothing going on. We had two games rescheduled and had to redo our non-conference schedule. Yeah I know everyone is in the same boat. Ga...

Re: Coastal -4.5
I was underwhelmed when Clark announced his staff and I think we seeing the effects of those selections. Nothing like the quality selections made by Satt and Drink. The play calling, especially on the offensive side of the ball, has been horrific. But I am equally as worried that our guys never seem...

Re: Georgia St Game Day Thread
I miss Drinks offense He is part of the problem. Drink did everything in his power to destroy our culture. We are seeing the after effects now. Good thing is we have people in spots that realize it -- and are actively fixing it! Seriously? What exactly did he do to "destroy our culture?"

Re: Georgia St Game Day Thread
Man this “we might be sandbagging for the next big game” crap is so obnoxious. Can we not accept that we got owned at the line of scrimmage for 90% of the game and it doesn’t matter what play you call when you’re getting man handled? Same thing happened against Marshall. We can’t get pressure on an...

Re: 2021 QB
I think we are doing ourselves a major disservice by not giving DBG a chance. He may leave or may not. Not giving the *Highest rated recruit in school history* a chance to compete with other less athletic QBs is what holds teams back imo What are you talking about? We did give him a chance. It was ...

Re: Stated goals
I think part of the reason people are "upset" right now is we came so close to a NY6 trip last year (and all the validation/recognition that would bring). Then we thought well this is our year to do it. We can plug and play at Coach because we had so many guys coming back to what was going to be th...
