Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
FYI, Georgia Tech gave up an average of 29.3 points/gm this season, while NC State gave up 24.9/gm (per cfbstats.com). Stats can be used to make any point you want to make, if you pick and choose the right ones. In this instance, a coach who most would argue as a home run (Woody), led a defense tha...

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
Keeping Gasparato is such a huge win and makes me feel a hell of lot better about the DC hire for Roof.

Waiting on that GT bowl game to be done and it's not for Woody... Shiel Wood for DC.

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
There is APPsolutely no way on earth that Doug Gillin would approve a contract for Ted Roof to be DC. I'd be ok with him Roof being a defensive position coach, but definitely not DC title.

Re: New Head Coach - Eliah Drinkwitz
Wow! This is an absolute homerun hire by Gillin. After all the noise and doubts the past week I couldn’t be more happy with this hire. We have the best AD in country folks and a hell of a head coach coming in to lead to the next level!

While we are at it...
Houston Nutt, Al Golden, Derek Dooley, Jim Grobe.. all with head coaching experience.

Out of just pure greed for myself, I hope like hell this thing is leaked and/or announced prior to my flight tomorrow afternoon down to NOLA. I don't want to be in the air and miss it!

I'm guessing All Black if my understanding is correct that we are technically the home team.

Re: If Doug Gillin called you...
One error in above is Al Golden is the current LB coach with Lions, but was TE coach last season.

Re: If Doug Gillin called you...
Well since DG isn’t calling Horton I guess I’ll change it up.
Al Golden. He’s coaching TE’s in NFL now. He got a raw deal at Miami by trying to clean up that mess the right way and likely wasn’t the best fit. He has head coaching experience and runs a 3-4 defensive scheme.

Re: If Doug Gillin called you...
No thanks on Ruffin. Gattis I'm concerned with a potential head coaching learning curve for next year when we have the table set for a massive year on the field. That would be true with any of these candidates with no prior HC experience so we will see.

Friday and Saturday hitting up Dauphine, Royal, Bourbon and Frenchman Streets. Dauphine and Royal run parallel to Bourbon and are good if you need a change of pace from Bourbon. Frenchman street is right outside the french quarter on the Esplanade side that has all of the jazz clubs. I'd recommend s...

No thanks on Ruffin, Ledford, Sloan, Speir, Amato or Woody as HC. My preference would be: Tim Horton = HC Ivey = DC & AHC (must keep 3-4 defensive scheme) Dale Jones = Co-DC, inside linebackers DJ Smith = outside linebackers Greg Gasparato = Safeties (maybe all of secondary) Taylor Lamb = QB coach ...
