Re: NC State Facing Level 1 NCAA Violations
Wow...it appears we have more NC State fans than UNC fans on the board. The hypocrisy is astounding. Yea, you can tell who grew up State fans before attending App ... They just won't admit it. Haha yep. The little brother syndrome is strong with many on this board. Crazy it took as lot as 5 posts b...

Re: NC State Facing Level 1 NCAA Violations
LOL. My favorite part about this is they cheated to get Dennis Smith and they were still awful that year. What a joke of an athletic program. Hope they and Mark get hammered.

Re: Heels Bite the Dust in Charlotte no less
Lol love how much you guys get worked up over this. Newsflash: UNC and App aren’t rivals in sports. This isn’t Georgia Southern or Ark State I’m talking about. I claim both as my teams bc I’ve attended both. App for undergrad and currently UNC for grad. As long as the Heels aren’t playing App, they...

Re: Heels Bite the Dust in Charlotte no less
*sigh* I expected to get $ from Wake and I didn’t. Plus, my grandfather attended WFU and I had some family pressure to apply. Same deal with USC. I had no desire to practice in South Carolina, but I have an uncle who went there. I anticipated going to Central before I sent a single application. Whe...

Re: Heels Bite the Dust in Charlotte no less
There are schools after App for many of our graduates, myself included. None of them directly impact Appalachian like UNC. They do it by way of the UNC Board of Governors, controlling the allocation of collective resources. Pair that with the state’s sports culture, local media bias and coverages, ...

Re: Heels Bite the Dust in Charlotte no less
Yeah our small ball lineup and reliance on 3 finally let us down when we went extremely cold from outside. I was pretty beat up about it yesterday but I’m at peace. Hard to ask for more than 2 straight final fours and a national championship from those guys!

Re: RIP Woody Durham
Woody was a legend. Like many here have said, I grew up muting the TV commentary and listening to the radio call because of him. I still try and do that but it hasn't been the same since he retired. It was hilarious how he pronounced certain words -- like "soph-o-more."

Re: NCAA to UNC: "It is our business"
The NCAA made itself clear: if spend enough $ after the fact you may perpetrate the grandest academic fraud scandal in US history with impunity. This is indefensible no matter what color shirt you wear in March. Celebrate that your pretty little banners get to stay put, UNC fans, but the world know...

Re: NCAA to UNC: "It is our business"
Why is having a flagship important? What does that even mean? To further that point. How has App benefited from being associated with them other than them blocking new degrees and allocating a disproportionate amount of resources to themselves? Uh, I don't think the university leadership has any ha...

Re: QB play has to catch up
I definitely agree that Lamb limits our offense with his inability to throw downfield. But I also think that given his running ability and experience winning games, he's the best option on the current team. As for the future, I am very excited about our commit Stephon Brown (if we can hold on to him...
