Re: Football Transfers
I suppose he could. He has experience starting. But if he does, I wouldn’t read much into it. As I explained to a friend the other day, getting a guy from the portal, regardless of position, isn’t necessarily an indictment on the guys currently on the roster. You need depth. As important as it is f...

Re: Football Transfers
Yeah - I just wante to point out that we shouldn't let where he came from be an indicator of his talent. It looks like a lot of schools wanted him, so I'm hopeful it means he is going to be a solid addition to the unit!

Re: Roof
Ted Roof was the lowest paid coach on staff. He is a class act and coached the defense very well. Many treated him badly. I'm glad that his son stuck around. Agreed - we basically beat NC and SC that year because defensive TDs...we lost Southern because our offense was ineffective. He got a bad rap.

That damn lucky guy who modernized our fundraising, vastly improved our facilities, and presided over a successful move to FBS.

Re: new oc
You should be in Vegas nothing wrong with Ponce if true, i'm sure he can/will be successful, but I was kind of hoping for someone outside of the App family. I think our offense needs a fresh look. Obviously we are purpose built and will keep the same principles, but even the best offenses need twea...

Re: Peterson to Illinois?
A little of both. Eli didn’t run his offense either. He ran the offense that we had with Satt with a few wrinkles of his own. Only difference, is that he had healthy, experienced players all season. And the ability to adjust. Hard to adjust when you are using 2nd and third string guys. Case in poin...

Re: Peterson to Illinois?
Time to bring Trey back. https://nguathletics.com/sports/football/roster/coaches/trey-elder/61. And Taylor too. https://gwusports.com/staff-directory/taylor-lamb/266 No. We need to think bigger than handing jobs to former QBs either with no track record, or a non-descript one just because they play...

Re: Peterson to Illinois?
Regardless of who the replacement will be, we are going to see the same offense next year, which is the same offense we saw under Eli. The only difference is that whoever it is, is going to inherent the same group of skill guys that Eli essentially had. TP did not. Some due to opt out and some to i...

Re: OFFICIAL: SHAWN CLARK HC
So, I'm thinking they did a straw man poll of the BOT and all were good with Clark and since he was already on staff none of the HR stuff had to happen which can slow things down. So they went ahead and leaked the news yesterday that he was going to be named HC before the formal BOT session tomorro...

Re: Who stays, who goes?
So is it a given that Clark will be the OC? I’m assuming he will make the same base as the other guy? Same basic incentives? We should be ahead of the game a little with some extra cash to pay some guys aren’t we? I have no idea how all of the money swap works. My guess is he won't be the OC...just...

Re: Troy’s Neal Brown to WVU
If you could choose to coach at WVU or Louisville for the same $. What's the better deal? Louisville - I think it's easier to recruit to as an urban school. Definitely advantages to WVU - better fans, more tradition, better mascot name, etc. but you're also in a league competing with OU, Texas, and...
