The timing of the bowl games helps out, IMO. It's three weeks from today. Many Sun Belt bowl games are next week on weekdays as the CFB takes over Saturday. It only sucks being at 2pm on a Monday. Not sure why they wouldn't do it around 6-8pm.

Because it's a Monday and 6-8 would conflict with Monday Night Football.
