Blythe walks by our tailgate in the morning when going to pre-game meal.

There's not that many people with better hair than me and he's up there.

Re: North End Zone Construction

The Physical Plant is currently fitting a shipping container to be a temp ticket office this season at KBS. Also, they saved the scoreboard that was mounted on Owens. I've seen it on a 10-ish foot stand right behind the north end zone a little bit on the APP side. Foot traffic going into KBS (and fr...

Re: NC State Facing Level 1 NCAA Violations

NC State will and should fight the NCAA because everyone who complies with them gets hammered. Those who fight back get off relatively easier because the NCAA's enforcement is more bluff than anything.

Re: MLS to Charlotte

This whole idea exploded into reality in April when MLS said they were going to 30 team ASAP, which was unexpected. Currently there's 24 teams, with Nashville and Inter Miami joining in 2020 and Austin FC in 2021 to make 27 teams. Sacramento and St. Louis have the exclusive rights to negotiate for #...

Re: UConn leaving the AAC

The airport argument is a bit overblown. Many power conference towns require teams and fans to fly into airports over an hour away from the stadium.

He should be on a plane with a bottle of Comeback Sauce and two hands full of football championship rings.
And a few bottles of Wilkes county’s finest to start things off.
The stuff you get in the front of the store or the back? ;)

Re: UConn leaving the AAC

We need a full service hotel, higher end, in Boone proper. Have to have money flow toward the improvement of the air strip to handle charters and, aside from hoops, most of the important boxes will have been checked. Boone has a full service Holiday Inn as of April/May. The the charter flight issue...

I do not enjoy the BGP. And I'm not going to discuss why because it won't end well.

Re: UConn leaving the AAC

Does Army want it? If they join the conference, then they Army/Navy game being played in December is in Jeopardy. I don't think they would want to join. I bet West Point likes the scheduling freedom and being a marketing and recruiting tool across the country. And yes, the Army/Navy game would have...

Re: UConn leaving the AAC

Since we’re talking markets, isn’t there a way to spin App in both Charlotte and Raleigh markets and it still be reasonably true? Technically speaking, Boone IS in the Charlotte television market. https://tbh.lerctr.org/~ekb/TVMarkets/City%20Maps/Charlotte.gif So yeah, we can say truthfully that Ap...

I don't think Army will give up being an independent. They play across the country as a marketing and recruiting element for West Point.

Re: UConn leaving the AAC

There's always a chance for App in the AAC but until we know what they want, there's no telling. They might want a football only (Army) and a non-football school (VCU, Dayton, etc.) Or they might stay at 11 if they think they can't get a bigger pie with a 12th member. The Big 12 probably made the ri...

Re: WCU wbb

I'm amazed the AD announced Kearney before a contract was approved, not to mention a month beforehand and allowing her to hire an entire staff. Looking at the WCU BOT schedule, they had their quarterly meetings on June 6/7. Why wasn't this addressed then, but now in a special meeting? Western has re...
