Re: At Tennessee this weekend

Just a reminder folks....this is year 2 of the rebuild. Kermit Smith's first year was a throw away because he had zero opportunity to recruit once he was hired. That's the nature of a spring sport. Last year he basically cleaned out and brought in 18 new guys. This year he talked about having more ...

We were one of worst hitting teams in the country last year. Hope this weekend isn't indicative of the season to come.
Indeed, it's looking more like a trend now. I hope its figured out before the season goes into the weeds.

Judging by or assistant retention rate, Ware will be a coordinator by the 2019/20 Cotton Bowl.

Re: New Hire

Capel inherited a team with Sims, Williamson, Butts and a few other players from a 24-win squad. Fox inherited a lot less. Capel having a better record than Fox is false equivalency. And the APR turnaround started under Capel. Yes, he got the program into the mess with horrible scores in his first t...

Next season, the first three rounds of the tournament are at campus sites. Only the "Final Four" will be in NOLA, and it'll be at the NBA arena in downtown.

Re: New Hire

The extension was a mistake. It's on DG to figure out how to right the ship. If something doesn't change it will speak volumes , we simply have written men's basketball off for the foreseeable future . I'm anti-Fox, but the extension was the right move at the time, IMO. Having Fox go into this seas...

Re: MBB: Apps @ Tx Arlington 3 PM College Park Ctr

Five of the last seven are at home and the two roads games are Louisiana and ULM, who we beat at home. That's the positive going forward. At this point, Fox will have his chance to coach the team into the Sun Belt Tournament. There's a lot of parody parity in the league and we could sneak up the sta...

Re: MBB: Apps v. TSU

Strange how the Sun Belt works out its basketball schedules. We play the four teams farthest away from Boone (TSU, UTA, ULM, ULaLa) twice yet two of the three teams closest to Boone (GaSt, Stink) we only play once. We'll have divisions next season, home and away versus the five in your division and...

I'm fine with FCS games once in a while. Local FCS games make sense.

Except Elon and Western. Never play them.

After the win, Fox spent a couple minutes talking to the band and thanking them to their support. The pep band has been awesome this season.

Also, beforehand Fox gave the student who got thrown out on Thursday a jersey. Take that Bob Marlin and your stupid kid Nemo!

Wonder if he ever set foot in Boone after his hire? Hope he enjoyed his stay at the Boone Trail Motel.
Boone Trail Model has been torn down.

And Dorsey was at several basketball games with Drink.

The electrical has been taken out of Owens. It's deserted and looks like a building about to be destroyed. All the lampposts near it are gone. But it doesn't look any different, for now.

Re: Apps picked last in East for 2019

When Kermit was hired I shared with him my thought that baseball was the conference's toughest sport to compete in. That hasn't changed.I'm looking for improvement year to year [for the most part] , and certainly through the season. I slightly disagree. Softball is harder because of our facilities ...

That’s so not true they spoke to ALL the coaches including Coach Fox during this game as they ALWAYS do during a game. I watched the game and saw something TOTALLY different. I love how you are trying to make tension between the team and coaches. Again, you think the kids don’t see this. They reall...

1-8 is better than 0-9. Five of the next seven are at home. Need to make those count. Geeze, nothing against you T-Dog, it's sad this has become the measure of making it "count." Sun Belt Tournament has changed format this year. Only top 10 make it. 7 vs 10 and 8 vs 9 on campus sites. Only top six ...
