Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
No insight, but I feel Kermit scheduled the ETSU game for RPI purposes to make a late push for an at-large. ETSU was 55 going into the weekend while App was 72. Live RPI currently has ETSU at 52 and App at 64. GaSo was 68 but got swept at home by the Cajuns and dropped to 75. ETSU dropped 2 of 3 at ...

Good news is that JMU and Gaso both lost today, so we'll be 4th regardless of how this ends.

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
Don't know if Moranta or who decided for him to turn to second, but man that was a bad decision. Killed the inning. Gonna be another tight finish.

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
There's been some good defense in this game. Making tough plays look easy.
Got lucky in the B6 on a ball that dropped and bounced into the bullpen. Saved a run.
Nice of the ODU players to hit Chirico's pitches directly to our fielders.

The question was would you notice and not who is winning championships. The fact that they are winning championships and people would not notice is actually kind of telling. Wrestling adds more seats every year and has grown attendance after going to ticketed entry with rising prices. People would ...

Re: Is it time to rethink the sports we offer ?

Re: Is it time to rethink the sports we offer ?
Softball had a winning record in 2019, 2021 and 2022, and likely would have had one in 2020 if the season happened. Two years ago we were three outs from winning a series versus Louisiana, who hasn't lost a Sun Belt series in years and years. Softball isn't that far off the pace IMO.
