Re: Matt McMahon

UNCW was a dumpster fire when Buzz was firer the same day Capel was let go. Kevin Keatts turned them around very quickly You know very well that ADs deal with the unofficial Coaching Talent/Experience/Salary Expectation Hierarchy every time they have a head coaching vacancy in any sport. Buzz's two...

Re: Matt McMahon

D2 King College in Bristol is offering a scholarship to a 6’8” player from right over in SWVa averaging 20 PPG. Who remembers King? (we lost to them at home just in case you don’t remember). But we’re offering a kid from St Louis and it’s his only offer? I’m being a little facetious about King Coll...

Unless someone leaves, we won't have a scholly. We'll have to cover Hunter Seacat, Joe Battle and Mike Bibby with grants.

Our three guards were having a good afternoon and our bigs were controlling the boards. Lookin' good turns sloppy! Lead down to 13. Apps on a 5:30 FG drought.

Re: Troy at Home

The good news is that App holds a 6-3 advantage in the "all-time" series. The bad news is that Troy has won the last three meetings. They've owned us for the last two seasons. They'll win again today if Shabazz, Forrest and Williams have another <30 percent shooting afternoon.

Re: Kilgore re-signs with the 49ers

I've always been curious as to what monetary contributions our professional alumni give back to the school. Individual, charitable, IRS tax-deductible contributions are confidential between the contributor and the university. That info is never disclosed unless the contributor wishes to make it kno...

Re: TONIGHT BB GAME

A win at home tonite takes our men's team to .500 (7-7) in #Fun Belt play. If they can continue their hot streak through the regular season, they can go into tourney play with an 11-7 record. Astounding, considering the way the season looked way back to the post-game show at MEAC/Hampton in Dec. Go ...

Re: 2018: Softball

Just watching Coach Hoerner's interactions with the team and their response to her, it looks like they're headed the right direction. They've got a long way to go for sure, but I believe they're on their way. All the mini-camps and community interaction will pay off with time. Extremely young team....

Huge win for Fox and Co. over C. Ellis on the road! Good support from the bench...big Hunter Seacat, for instance, going a steady 4 for 4 plus 4 boards and tough D! Super outing from O'Showen Williams and Issac Johnson. Two more very winnable games coming up at home! Lookin' better Apps http://www.g...

Re: MBB App State @ Texas State

Danny Kaspar's teams always play ugly basketball because that's what he teaches. He always has JuCos on his roster who aren't in his program long enough to really get into any smooth flow. Regardless, this was a good win. Hope we don't see 'em in the tourney. On to Coastal now for a tough game again...

Re: MBB: stAte @ App State HCC 3:30 PM

"Must-win" is a worn-out cliche and I never use it either. So, what we have here is a prime-time Saturday afternoon home contest in the friendly confines of the Holmes Center against the weakest team we'll see during the remaining portion of the regular season. Judging from the conference standings,...
