Re: D. Evans or S. Meadors?

Wondering if we hold on till after the wake game with these guys who are banged up. Fully loaded for our sunbelt run. I would love to beat Wake, but the belt is goal #1. Hate that we aren't healthier for this game. I would rather go 6-2 in the Belt and beat Wake than go 8-0 and get slaughtered tomo...

I'm betting with power out for months it won't be held in PR.
It's gotta be a real longshot for a PR tipoff at this snapshot in time. On a somewhat brighter note, Delta and Southwest are scheduled to resume flights into San Juan tomorrow.

Casa Rustica has the best pasta in town, but service will be slow on a gameday evening. Cookout has a zillion shake flavors to choose from if your taste buds aren't still numb.

Re: This game , is more than just another game...

Do you really get a better education or better for prepared for life at Wake or UNC? At the end of the day ( having worked with grads of both) I've decided the only difference (other than having a Med and Law School) is it's just harder to get accepted. Granted incoming freshman may be better prepa...

Cliché, but for me,true. Being a little older , living through the cold lean seasons, remembering being looked down upon by these folks....I never really expected to live long enough to see Wake in Conrad...uh...Kidd Brewer .I guess I'm trying to convey something you may not grasp. Well it's been a...

The Apps (2-6-2 overall, 1-1-0 SBC) picked up their first road win this afternoon in Charlie Cobb's back yard. Up next is Troy at Ted Mack next Sunday afternoon--1 PM KO.

WSoc: Apps fall to USA 2-1 in 2 OT

A valiant effort by our women against a gifted South Alabama team fell just a wee tad short yesterday afternoon as the Apps lost 2-1 in double OT.

Yet another five-set disappointment for our ladies--still playing w/o pre-season All SBC OH Emma Longley.

MSoc: Longwood at ASU 7 PM TedMack

Longwood (Big South) visits TedMack tonite, sporting a roster dotted with international talent and an 0-3-1 record. I'm a little hesitant to predict a win over this winless team as their losses have all come in relatively close matches on the road at Pitt, #9 UNC-W and NC State. Could be a trap situ...

Re: Where can I buy a soccer jersey like the teams wear?

Does anyone know where they sell the jersey? Thanks. Try introducing yourself to Coach O'Keefe (if you haven't already) with a quick congratulatory e-mail after tonite's home match with Longwood. (Hopefully, it's a win!) He'll point you in the right direction. He loves hearing from former players a...

Re: Entrance fireworks

The two biggest changes in The Band of Distinction between 2005 and 2017 are... A.) The band's membership (all 150+ of them) B.) The band's leadership (the director came from Northwestern State U., LA, methinks five short years ago and *bless his heart* hasn't shown me much). I associate the current...

In one word...yes!

First time since 2005 that Wake held a team without a shot for 90 minutes of play. Big OUCH!

After a hard-fought, scoreless first half, Wake has taken a 2-nil lead with 2 goals by wing forward Ema Twumasi within a two-minute streak.

MSoc visits Second-Ranked Wake Forest 7 pm Spry Soccer Stadium

The Apps (2-2-1) travel to W-S for a 7 pm match with the 2nd ranked Deacs. Wake has one of the most prolific offenses in the nation to date this season. The Deacs rank in a tie for first in the nation with 17 goals and holds the sole lead in both assists (22) and points (56). Wake returns most of th...

This has to be one of the more noteworthy college football "riches to rags" stories in recent years. Memo to App State leadership: In no way are we immune to this in future years!
