MSOC: Apps @ High Point 7 PM Tonite Vert Stadium

Our Apps are currently 5-1-1 with a big test at High Point at 7 PM tonight. The Panthers are currently 6-1-1 and have a senior-laden team. They are ranked #29 in the country and #56 in the RPI.

I apologize for my old brain, but somewhere I read that we were the 3rd youngest team in college football. Is that in G5 or overall, including P5? Chris, this is way off the subject of your post but it sure is good to see your alias back in action. Hope you're doing well. I've been worried that som...

Allyson Lamb's fav 20 pics of Taylor's 4-year career at App

The WINSTON SALEM JOURNAL has published a gallery of Allyson Lamb's fav 20 photos of her son, Taylor, taken during his four years as App State's QB. This should bring back a lot of memories for Mountaineer fans. Hint: The *hidden* forward/reverse button is a little hard to distinguish. Just hover yo...

Re: UPDATE: ICE BUT NO CUPS FOR SATURDAY

After a quick scan of this entire thread, the impression I'm left with is that Chancellor Everts is the source of the no cups/no ice decree. She apparently got off of her diversity soap box long enough to renew her sustainability campaign. Does she not know that souvenir cups are or can be profit-ma...

Re: WSOC: Apps @ Ga Southern 1PM Watch @ ESPN+

Mountaineer senior forward Kat Greer scored goals in the 19th minute and the 59th minute to lead the Apps past Ga Southern 2-1 in a road game in hot & humid Statesboro. Jessica Easley got an assist on Greer's first goal while Ava Dawson picked up an assist on the second. With the win, the Apps move ...

Our ladies have certainly had enough practice at the five-set match over the last two seasons. I suspect they know the drill by now...strength and fitness for the long haul! Thank you Iron Mike!

Re: UNC-G @ App State 8:00 PM Sat. Ted Mack

A Reid Hunnicutt goal (assisted by Juan Hernandez) in the 49th minute and a lot of strong "D" was exactly what the Apps needed to defeat a strong UNC-G team earlier this evening at Ted Mack. This was a quality win by the Apps as the Spartans are the favorites to win the SoCon again this season. http...

Re: 5 Reasons UW will beat ASU tomorrow

First of all, welcome to Seattle, the Emerald city. If you're looking for something to do before the game, I would hit the Met or Daniels for steak. Anthony's or Ray's for Seafood. Alki Tavern has the best burger in town. Northlake tavern has great pizza and cold beer and you can walk to the game f...

UNC-G @ App State 8:00 PM Sat. Ted Mack

Looking to capitalize on the momentum of a 2OT home win over Elon earlier this week, UNC Greensboro’s men’s soccer team (3-4) returns to the field on Saturday to face the Apps (4-1-1) at Ted Mack. The Spartans are the SoCon favs for this season and have won four straight matches over the Apps includ...

Our Apps are 3-4-1; Troy is 2-7-1 but has probably played a tougher schedule to date. I like the Apps in a close one but road wins are hard to collect.

The key to conference championships is to win on the road. Our Apps start their Sun Belt quest in the 'boro this evening. They move on to Ga State tomorrow!

Re: Picking up the pace: Housing, end zone, 105, Sanford among major campus projects

This is good stuff! Our ability to attract top-tier students, be they student-athletes or not, will be improved by our new facilities. Next year will be a bit of a headache with parking and such. I'll happily endure a little headache for the sake of what will be a much more attractive University. I...
