DG and an alternate plan?

Late yesterday afternoon the following post appeared on Page 19 of the "Board of Trustees" thread... DG is in Nawlins. He was talking about how things have taken some twists and turns in this process with a reporter earlier I read somewhere. Last edited by StorminASU on Wed Dec 12, 2018 4:27 pm, edi...

Re: Board of trustees

Temple does have their man. I think Gattis is our coach. If so it is a good hire for DG. Twice we've been told that Gattis didn't make muster on his background check. That's a DNQ in my estimation if it's true. The last Wake grad we gambled and brought in certainly didn't "work" out very well.

Here is a thought why would Gattis be recruiting with Saban if he was leaving? The only source on his interview is Football Scoop.
Again, Gattis did not pass the background
The last Wake grad we gambled on didn't "work" out character-wise or otherwise.

Re: Board of trustees

While we are all freaking out over flight aware, I like to point out that there is a scheduled flight tomorrow morning into North Wilkesboro from Montgomery, AL. It's a Beechcraft super king, though. I'd hope we could get the new coach a jet rather than a turboprop. Also, I thought that airport clo...

Re: Football parking 2019

As Saint 3333 and 8993 have stated, game parking is going to slowly evolve. Parking locations can't be earmarked until all contractors have moved in and established their construction, EPA and OSHA safety boundaries. That won't leave much in the stadium lot except perhaps some perimeter parking and ...

Pierre refers to end zones as the painted area as well. What is our average attendance for home games? Gotta be pretty bad According to this site: http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/m_basketball_RB/Reports/attend/2017.pdf Our average attendance was just over 1000. Has to be tickets sold though and not b...

Re: The changes begin at App State, and the next chapter looms

For all of the uber-optimists aboard... Maybe we'd be wise to hire a coach and staff; replace all the recruiting de-commits; try to hold the transfer attrition to a minimum and get through spring practice before we start counting '19 wins. Ya think? There will be attrition of quality players unless...

Re: Brown & Ponce Gone...

Isn’t Ruffin getting old? I think we need an energetic late 30’s to young 40’s guy who will take a loaded roster and whip ass with it. Ruffin has just turned 61. ASU does not discriminate on any basis. Ruffin just doesn't seem to fit enough of the characteristics that DG is looking for in a new hea...

WBB: #22 USC 80, App State 50

Apps competed reasonably well, but Gamecocks were on f-i-r-e. They just had too much of everything...dead-eye shooting (54% from the floor and 50% from behind the arc) and rebounding to name a couple.

Re: Great Article on replacement options

Doesn't mean that they won't, either. What it does mean is this. Satterfield's going to hi-grade and poach the very best from our staff--soon for some and perhaps a couple of weeks later for others. DG's no Mississippi riverboat gambler. He's not going to bet App State's football future (and his ca...

Well, it looks as if Mike Houston could sign with Charlotte tomorrow if he hadn't burned the bridge at Harrisburg. Guess he'll have to settle for ECU's entry-level salary now that he's persona non grata on the UNCC campus!

Re: Early: possible replacements?

I'm still holding out for Scott's return to his KBS digs for another campaign. More worried about Ga Tech than UL. If the roof caves in on us, I don't think we have a guy with the gravitas and the charisma for the #1 job. On the other hand, we need enough staff holdovers to lock down this December's...

Scott is expected to talk with Tyra Sunday or Monday; most likely in NYC where the Football Foundation's annual fundraising dinner will be held Tuesday evening. The Louisville Courier-Journal has reported that at least three coaches--maybe four will get an interview early in the new week. Then, ther...
