Re: CLASSLESS JERK!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t see why we can’t have an intimidating crowd and still not be classless. I’d rather be a loser than have the reputation of a Georgia Southern. We don't have that reputation and we won't have one anywhere close to the "Mob at The Stink" as long as men like Doug Gillen and Dustin Kerns are our...

Re: Finish Strong 2 seed possible

Based on who everyone above us plays in their final 2 games it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that several teams (including us) end up 10-8. Even Texas State has two toughies to go. Just for kicks and giggles if there is a tie between several teams at 10-8 and the schools split head to head ...

Re: CLASSLESS JERK!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like someone went looking for a wholesome family experience and sat near some actual fans. Should it be family friendly? Sure, but for someone who went to App 30 years ago, you sure do get offended like someone who is young enough to be in school now. I can't remember the last time I heard s...

Re: MBB: Troy at App 4:00 pm; Three To Go--All "Must Wins"

Scott Cross kept his kids in it but the good guys played better "D" in the second period. KLewis, Johnson and Seacat maintained the cool heads and were solid as a rock on defense after the half. Williams (38 min.), Johnson (38 min.), Seacat (35 min.) and Forrest (33 min.) were the iron men Kerns wan...

Apps @ Ga Sou "iggles" (In progress)

An old-fashioned "barn-burner" is in progress down at "The stink." Apps have generally maintained a one or two point lead in this one. We're just into the 4th period and the Apps have fallen victim to a sudden iggles surge. Still anyone's game! http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=279519 Go ...

Re: At our hated rivals....

Great, great road win! App owns this tourney tie-breaker, if needed. File that away, stink fans! That ugly five-game App winless skid is over. Needle and thread...Apps finally got you outta 'dere heads... 8-) This was the 53rd all-time meeting between the two schools in MBB, with App State now holdi...

Re: 2/13 - MBB @ Georgia State | HUUUGE GAME

Per RealTimeRPI.Com the #136 Apps will be 13 point dawgs to #98 Ga State tonite. They have it 84-71 Ga State. Frankly, I don't see us giving up 84 points unless our defense just mails it in before half-time.

Re: Former App State QB Stephon Brown commits to TCU

The ECU QB recruit however looked like Roman Gabriel. Wow... Throwing it back! I always thought he'd be a good answer to a bar trivia question with "Famous Romans" as the category and "Name the head coach of the Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks," as the question. Is there any film on Roman Gabriel? :l...

Re: Back To Early Spring Ball!

I meant to post this yesterday, but it looks we are going back to early spring ball. Yesterday, on IG I saw a couple players post stories showing the locker room countdown clock. It had a countdown to spring ball and there was a little over 9 days on the clock. First confirmation I’ve seen of us go...

AppNC had this first followed by App88...here's the full story from Shawn Clark by way of THE WATAUGA DEMOCRAT. BTW, no mention of a spring game so far. A group of us from Atlanta are going to the game and I deplore the ATL App Alumni to come and cheer our team on. I posted on Facebook ATL Alumni page....if anyone else is active on Twitter/Instagram or other social media please make sure everyone in the ATL area is aware of this game and the impact...

Re: ESPN+ - App/Sunbelt needs to negotiate with ESPN+

IIRC, the existing contract is between the Sun Belt and ESPN with any pittance of revenue ESPN's willing to cough up being shared by the SBC admin and the member institutions equally. Everybody gets $999.99. That's silly, of course, but you get my drift. If any big money's there at all, ESPN ...

Re: 2/8 MBB vs TXST

The best thing we can do is attend remaining games and give to Yosef Club so we can get a couple more scholarships for Men’s Basketball. Say what? Of course, we need a sustained surge in contributions to the Yosef Club. I'm in total agreement with you there. I dunno where you got the impression tha...

Re: Charlotte Invitational

Looks as if the softball team had a pretty good weekend at the Charlotte Invitational. They went 2-2, but let the second game against UVa get away from them. It's a promising start coming off the success of last season. The one downside to the start is the performance of All Sun Belt pitcher Kenzie...

Nunn is from the small OK town of Apache...<1,500 in population. Boone will be a metropolis. Looks as if he was graduating from OK State about the time Jim Garner (former App State AD) was named AD for the Stillwater Cowboys. Nunn served as team captain for a couple of Big 8/Big 12 championship team...
