Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
- Will the upper portion of the west side stands be rebuilt to match the design of the upper portion of the east side, i.e. a main-level concourse with views of the field? Eventually - Will the upper portion of the east side stands be replaced with a concrete structure No-it will remain as or at le...

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
For those in the know, could you clarify some items shown in the renderings: - Will the upper portion of the west side stands be rebuilt to match the design of the upper portion of the east side, i.e. a main-level concourse with views of the field? - Will the upper portion of the east side stands be...

Re: Appstate Endzone Camera
The NEZ should include 15-20 rows of lower-level seats, with field level luxury suites, and a field level patio area that allows for NEZ/Yosef Club members to have field access. This addition would also facilitate the connection of the east and west concourses on the north side of the stadium. This ...

Re: Liberty game moved in 2025
An away game at Pitt in 2025 and a home game against Pitt in 2027 makes a lot of sense based on current schedules.

Re: Football traditions
I propose a new tradition that would be completely unique to App. We now have two blank white walls in the north end zone. The addition of climbing walls on one or both of these facades would create a “Rock Wall” in which Yosef, and other folks, could climb up during the game at various points, wave...

Re: North End zone project
My understanding is as follows... The NEZ project begins with the razing of Owens FH immediately after the last game of this season. That could carry over into January with weather and the holidays. Tons and tons of debris will have to be hauled away. Construction is to begin in "early '19" as soon...

Feinstein Article
John Feinstein wrote a good article about Troy's upset of Nebraska with a nice mention of App and Scott Satterfield at the end of the article. If App and Troy can take care of business the rest of the season, our matchup on November 24th could be quite significant. https://www.washingtonpost.com/spo...

Re: End Zone project moving forward...
I’d like to see how it fits with the east and west stands, let’s plan ahead to make sure the stadium flows, something we’ve never done. Completely agree. There needs to be space retained in front of the club seating for future seating to match the lower portions of the east and west stands. A conco...

Re: Poll: Bowl Game
I could see the league engineering a Toledo (11-2) vs. Troy (10-2) Dollar General Bowl with App facing off against another 8-4 team like Southern Miss in the New Orleans Bowl. These would be two great games with the DG Bowl pairing two conference champs with local interest from Troy while giving App...

Re: North End Zone project update
The back side of the temporary north end zone bleachers are basically pipe and drape with porta johns at the bottom. It does look bad. It smells bad. It sounds bad when you hear plastic doors bang shut every time someone goes in and out. Not to mention the last time I was there the joints of the bl...

Re: North End Zone project update
Southern Miss offers a great example! The stands beneath the north end zone club level could rise no higher than the portals on the east and west sides of KBS resulting in a nice uniform look around 3/4 of the field. This design could accommodate a seamless extension of the concourse around the nort...

Re: North End Zone project update
The previous renderings showed what could be described as a “dead zone” between the club seats and the field. This same design flaw in other collegiate stadiums kills the field level atmosphere. This issue can and should be addressed with the north end zone project. Seats close to the action, even i...

Re: North End Zone Project Gets Green Light
Retaining the south end zone with a regraded hill (once the track is removed) is important to providing a seating area for families who want to enjoy this area while maintaining a natural edge of the stadium abutting the forested hillside. This is a unique feature in KBS and should be preserved. The...

Re: South Carolina drops ECU 2019....
Home and home with Boise State in 2019 and 2020. The open dates work well for both teams each year and it creates competitive balance for both teams' non-conference schedules. This would be an excellent, high profile G5 series.
