Re: playing against Scott Sloan defense

Before last Saturday, the GS defense had only given up 3 points in the first quarter and that includes keeping Clemson off the board until 2nd quarter. We haven't been exactly on fire on offense in the first quarter our last two outings. Until Saturday, we haven’t allowed a TD in the second half si...

Re: Opening line APP -8 in Shreksboro

Yep, that double reverse pass was pretty conservative.

We were generally conservative because we wanted to run clock and keep the UL offense off the field. Also, UL did a good job keeping our passing game in check. I don't think we strategized with future games in mind.

Re: Opening line APP -8 in Shreksboro

We'll cover it.....barely. Based on the game against NMSU, App has an opportunity to win this game by 3 scores. NMSU has a FCS quality defense, so it's tough to extrapolate that side of the ball. But if Thomas can get off of his first read and push the ball downfield, App should be in good shape. S...

Re: Opening line APP -8 in Shreksboro

We held back during LaLa game and Coach even said we had been preparing for gsu for the last 2 weeks since it's a short week Sorry, I don't buy the notion we held back v. UL. That's something said to make us feel better about not matching the lopsided predictions most made. Because they did some pr...

Re: GSUfans.com

One important ingredient for GS is the faith in the coaching staff and the belief that they can get them where they want to be. Don't discount that factor that will benefit GS on Thursday. Obviously, that also resides within our program as well. Satt has demonstrated his ability as a coach and our p...

Re: On to Statesboro

No doubt, outside of Penn State, the last three games have been against stiffer competition. Strategically, we have likely changed our focus and are relying more on the run. That being said, Zac Thomas' performance over the last three games is significantly below his performance in the first three g...

Re: On to Statesboro

UL gave up more v NMSU than GS. Don't forget who the DC is for the Eagles. We generally perform well against the option but this GS team leads the conference in rushing and are 6-1, we should be worried. Now everyone is talking about how good UL is on defense after predicting we would score at will....

Re: State of the backfield

None on the non-freshmen backs give you the kind of runner Jalin was. I think Peoples come closest to that. I'm not sure you necessarily pull the shirt immediately but we may find that we need to. I would certainly play him v. GS.

Re: Officiating in a Win

I'm sorry but I refuse to denigrate the one league that was willing to throw us a lifeline to FBS. Perhaps, one day we will land in stronger conference but rather than good riddance, I would say thanks the chance you gave us.

We actually picked up votes/points in both polls but relative to others we lost ground in one and gained in another. Our SOS is hurting us.

Re: Updated Polls

Didn't we essentially switch places in the two polls? I was thinking we were #31 in the AP and #29 in the Coaches Poll last week. I do realize we picked up points in both.

Re: Satterfield's contract extended!!!

A buddy of mine used to work at Liberty in ticket office, now he's in charge of NCSU's football and basketball ticket sales but I digress...I asked him how in the world could Liberty University have so much money to spend for such a relatively small school and he said: Online students. They have a ...

I was not impressed with GASU tonight. The STINK is not Back!
Perhaps not but they are 5-1 and 3-0 in the Belt. We do go there. I seriously doubt it will be a cakewalk. And, it's not like we throttled Texas State the last time we played them.
