Re: MBB: GaSou @ App State 3:30 PM HCC

We don't have a great basketball tradition at App (but some coaches have managed to win consistently) and Fox did inherit an off the court mess (how much longer does that excuse work?). Those are true statements. The question is, what are reasonable expectations for a program in a coach's fourth yea...

Re: WBB: Ga Sou @ App St

I like what this team looks like going forward but we need to keep things in perspective. Their three straight conference wins are against teams with a combined 1-16 record. Hopefully this streak gives them the momentum to continue their level of play going forward. It certainly would appear Angel a...

Have you not been crying Shabazz can't hit a fee throw? Better to have him try an open three he can hit.
Unfortunately in our last three losses he's 3-17 from three. He's 11-18 from the line in that same span.

Re: WBB: Ga Sou @ App St

Boy, the freshmen on this team have come to life. Lets see if they can keep it going. Never would have thought they would have a chance to have a better season than the men based on their level of inexperience and early season injuries. This would appear to be the team with the bright future.

Re: MBB: GaSou @ App State 3:30 PM HCC

It seems in those situations though our final effort is always a 3 point attempt and when you consider how poorly we shot it yesterday that was not likely going to get it done.

The one constant with Fox teams is their inconsistent play from game to game.

Re: MBB: Apps @ ULM 2:45 PM Fant-Ewing Coliseum

I would against D1 competition it was our best overall game from the floor. I'm still at a loss that we can't shoot better from the line. It will cost us again if we continue to shoot so poorly. I think few of us would have predicted 3-1 in the Belt after our poor start v. D1 opponents. Next weekend...

Re: WBB: Apps @ ULM in progress from Monroe, LA

What's with 4 quarter dip literally every game? That was a problem last year as well. I'm guessing depth is a factor.

Glad to see the ladies pull one out in what thus far has been a difficult season. The future looks bright if everyone stays in the fold.

Do you think he is the best person to trying to beat the press? I ask, not a loaded question. Granted some of us don't live in Boone and get to go to every sporting event on campus, so I confess I'm not always paying attention. I would certainly defer to those who see the games first hand. I do see ...

Guess what is not happening? Shabazz coming out of games late.
I would have him on the floor whenever the game is on the line. I wouldn't, however, have him as the primary ball handler.

It's also possible he is a backup for three years. Let's let this play out before we make him an NFL prospect.

We travel to Louisiana and Monroe next weekend looking for our first road win. The Cajuns are also 2-0 in the Belt and 11-3 overall. Let's see how we respond to this opportunity/challenge.

Re: MBB: UTA @ AppState 2:30 PM HCC

The most important thing is the win but geez we wilted down the stretch. Shabazz was almost a liability at the end.

Who would have guessed a week ago that we would be 2-0 in the Belt?

Re: MBB: Tx State @ App State

At times we worked the ball around for the open shot and then we would lose our patience and toss up a 3 or try to drive to the basket when there was no opening. Nonetheless, we did enough to win and that is the ultimate goal. Give the team credit for not folding when they fell behind by double digi...
