Re: Kenan Stadium

I completely agree about the band. I cannot believe as much money as we got paid to go to this game in state against Carolina we cannot afford to charter buses to drive less than three hours from Boone with a pep band and fifty tickets I was under the impression that it is our return visit to Kenan...

Sometimes I think we go out of our way to feel slighted. Sometimes it helps to have a chip on your shoulder but it's not always a good look.

Re: Coach Drink--Second Half Clock Management

The slide that Zac did for the last First Down was good heads-up playing by staying in bounds. Sometimes it is the little things that are really the big things. Well, not only Zac's slide, but the call itself was pure genius. We had just run two plays straight ahead, and had not called a QB run the...

Re: Coastal Carolina

May be wrong, but I think APP could be nearly a 3 TD favorite in Boone over Coastal. Still need to focus. APP beat UNC because of toughness by a veteran group. They knew how to win as UNC hasn't a clue. Nice clock management by Drink, something Satt didn't do well, imo. Amen. Drink was better with ...

Re: Good game heelz

That first EZU game years ago was almost the opposite. Every play in the second half they had a guy go down yet we seemed to have none. I found that amazing at the time. Someone needs to get in the way back machine and find out what we were doing that season I would bet we were not booing their pla...

Re: Eric Church

UNC-CHeat achieved their goal, get under the skin of App by playing an intro of their alum supporting the Tar Holes. I like Eric Church’s music but highly disappointed in his agreement to play the intro for UNC-CHeat against his alma mater. In poor taste whether he or his staff made the decision. D...

Re: Roof

Let's not read more into this than anyone here actually knows. According to Drink, Roof was in the box so he could get a better view of the offensive set Carolina was in, whether there were in RPO or some other formation. We don't know if that was Roof's choice or Drink's preference and it serves no...

Re: Eric Church

Apparently, he and Mack Brown are pretty close. My guess that has something to do with his presence in the intro. No doubt, he is a big Carolina fan and its a little hard to swallow knowing he's an App grad. I don't get too worked up over and try not to take it as a personal affront.

Re: Ted Roof Crow Thread - Come Get Your Dinner

Are we sure we aren’t overreacting to a win here? We still gave up 31 points to a below average UNC team. We played excellent defense in the first half and Roof seemingly didn’t make any adjustments down the stretch once UNC started finding success offensively. If I remember correctly, this was the...

Re: Good game heelz

I have never, ever been to a game at any level where fans booed a player for going down, cramp or otherwise. Even some Heels fans sitting near me said that was crossing a line. No class. They deserved a much worse a$$ beating than they got! I don't mean to be a contrarian but it happens all the tim...

Re: UNC favored by Vegas -3.5

UNC has allowed 13 total sacks so far, and are abysmal on 3rd down conversions at 9-42 for 21.43% converted. You are right that getting to Sam will be a huge key in App coming out of Chapel Hill with a win. Likewise, we need to give Zac time to throw as well. They give up a lot of big plays but als...

Re: Anyone monitoring the UNC messages boards?

Our "super bowl" (pejorative term as The article uses it).....is/are, SunBelt Championship Game, Bowl game. Period. While I agree with you, reading this board sure paints a different picture. The desire to play and ultimately beat them is expressed with more regularity than any other game I can rem...

I just now got off the phone with DISH and they confirmed what another poster on here said. It is blacked out in my area for the Tar Hell game. Guess it will be good ol' WKBC FM for my 14 year old and me, Saturday. Tar Heels suk. The blackout is a common practice with these networks, it's got nothi...

Re: 2019 Field Hockey

FH was my wife's favorite sport. Growing up in Richmond and playing at VCU, then playing club ball post graduation, she gave it up when we moved to the Roanoke area where it doesn't exist. As a result, I have always been a casual follower of App's program that started a year before I matriculated th...
