Re: FCS national championship
I thought about Illinois State blocking our kick and ending our playoff run when it happened twice to them last night.

He took legit visits to Baylor Georgia and A&M in HS. Was a late bloomer in the class though. I believe we may have offered him out of high schoo...

Re: Portal time 25-26
It does appear we are primarily shooting for players at the FCS levels and below. It also appears that we are targeting several who are at some schools not in the region who have ties to the region.

Re: 12/31, MBB at Old Dominion - 2pm
We lost a game to Wake Forest a couple years...maybe 3....that all we had to do was throw the ball in. That was probably the worst AppState memory of my life. I was so excited for AppState to win that game. Maybe it was 4 years ago. I think it was a Kerns team. I think it was the 22-23 season. http...

That has been a weakness of his teams over the years. He needs some better in bounds plays.

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Some of yall are crazy. How can you question a coach’s talent evaluation when you look at results? App played literally the same team twice, once with starters and once with mostly 3-4th string guys. The starters lost by 2, the backups lost by 19. Wilson and a couple other players showed some flash...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
I'm not sure you want a run first QB but a more creative approach would have seen what a good situational QB he could/can be. Especially since we didn't have anyone in that room that came close to his mobility.
I'm anxious to see the direction we go in the portal.

Re: Birmingham Bowl
We really do shoot ourselves in the foot. Not that it matters at this point but this has been a constant theme.
Some folk showed well today who haven't really played this year. The next several weeks will be interesting.

I was under the impression that there is no chartered flight to Birmingham.

Re: Who’s going to Birmingham?
This feels like a half story. They are likely extending flexibility to the players to arrange for travel themselves due to the holiday and set a time to "check-in" of 12/27 in Birmingham while offering mass transportation to others (may be a small number given the circumstances) driving back to Boo...

Re: Who’s going to Birmingham?
Putting Wilson in the mix at least gives GS something different to look at in preparation, assuming they can prepare for the unknown.

How many times have we seen this story with App bball teams? The inconsistency is a consistent theme. Whatever improvements are noted disappear just as quickly.

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?
I kind of have been hearing the opposite...Power conference schools are looking to reduce their power conference out of conference scheduling because the committee has not shown any benefit to strength of schedule. Only W/L. The ACC is going to 9 conference games beginning for most of the league in...
