Re: Dowell Loggains SI Article
I liked the article. There is really nothing in there that surprises me but it does give some insight into what DLo is thinking as he interviews players. He is also realistic that to compete there will be a few that you do you have to "play the money game" with them. He tries to strike a balance an...

Re: Dowell Loggains SI Article
Appreciate you sharing the article, but besides it being poorly written, it was a pretty depressing account of what the current landscape is. And should DL enjoy any success he’s outta here with the first good offer. What’s depressing about it? Sounds like a microcosm of American life to me. And ye...

Re: South Alabama bball
There are 68,000 teams already in the NCAA tourney. Get rid of the NIT and CBI. When only 32 teams made the tourney I can understand having the NIT as a compensation tourney for 32-64 who had great years but didn't make the cut. The NIT and CBI are back filled with mediocre teams and some losing re...

Re: MBB, SBC tournament vs Old Dominion, Fri 3/7 8:30pm
On to next year. Hope the portal is kind to us The complete lack of any sort of offensive gameplan at the end of games is a much bigger concern. Kerns standing around and hoping Tate can win a bunch of one on ones is not a winning formula. If you do not have good players, it doesn't matter what the...

Re: MBB, SBC tournament vs Old Dominion, Fri 3/7 8:30pm
I hope Kerns finds a better situation than what we can offer. I can’t imagine how disheartening it must be to build the strongest roster we’ve only had only to be told you can’t keep it while football is about to pour millions into some more luxury suites That’s your take? Kerns is the one who dese...

Re: MBB, SBC tournament vs Old Dominion, Fri 3/7 8:30pm
ODU coach is actually coaching during this time out. Kerns (as much as I like him) is walking around by himself. He doesn’t know what to do right now. They probably shoulda drawn a play up the last possession instead of letting Tate dribble around and heave a contested three then heave a circus lay...

Re: MBB at Georgia Southern, Tuesday Feb. 25th 7pm
Tate and Huntley are giving it all they got. Tate is 4-17 from the floor. I didn’t say they were giving it all correctly. They were at least fighting and playing hard. If only Kerns showed more fight with a game plan and game management. When the game plan is literally “Myles shoot the ball”, we ge...

Re: MBB vs Marshall Sat, 2/22 1:00pm
Tate has carried this team for long stretches. He is one of the better players we’ve had , all the way around. He does what he’s asked of with everything he’s got. And he came back when he had other options. Again. Not to quibble but his hero ball at the end of this game was a killer. Yes he’s play...

Re: MBB vs Marshall Sat, 2/22 1:00pm
Tate’s hero ball has grown tiresome Rough way to go out at home for him. Has given us some great moments and games. Yeah but this ain’t the nba and hes not good enough to do what he’s been doing lately. He has given us great moments but 3 straight turnovers at the end is a killer and kerns needs to...

Re: MBB vs Marshall Sat, 2/22 1:00pm
Tate’s hero ball has grown tiresome Honestly who else is going to step up? We are a 2-3 man team. I’m hard pressed to see us win either of the two road games. Expect us to win one game in the conference tourney then bow out but let’s see. Tate going 1-3 on fastbreaks, heaving contested fall back th...

Re: MBB vs Marshall Sat, 2/22 1:00pm
App played five extra minutes at home Thursday night. Meanwhile, Marshall played a close game in Norfolk and had to bus from the Tidewater yto the mountains. But App is the team that is exhausted? If that’s the case, we need to hire their strength coach. Agree. I know I’m beating a dead horse but T...
