Re: Future schedules

I've heard talk of this for a while. Must be moving toward reality.

Re: Oh Ye - Of So Little Faith ---

I think we can look at circumstances as they develop over the season and reassess our priorities, but I hope we never have a mindset going into the season that 8-4 is good enough.

When we go head to head with ECU and UNC we lose big to UNC, and more than 50% of the time to ECU.
Bold statement seeing that the sample size for your argument is 0 games played against those two teams under the current classification.
I think he was talking about recruiting battles.

I'd rather be spoiled and have high expectations than to settle for 6 or 7 wins every year.

Looking at 7-5 or even 6-6 team down the stretch. Goodbye Sun Belt championship..hello Camellia Bowl..maybe.
I honestly don't see how we get to 6-6.

Re: Toledo - NIU

If UCF runs the table - and they have a lot of tough work left to do - they'll be an interesting test case for the CFP. Playing in the best G5 conference, they're winning conference games by an average 27 points. Overall their average margin is 31 points. Their closest game is a 10-point road win o...

Thursday night Gumroots

Based on the ticket packages being offered in the e-mail I just received, I'd say attendance isn't looking good.

I applaud them for being proactive to try and get people to the game.

Re: Foot Shooting

If the call is targeting only, then the penalty is wiped out and the play stands if the video review shows no targeting.

If the call is personal foul with targeting, then the personal foul penalty will stand and the yardage will be enforced even if the targeting is reversed by the review.

Re: Attendance Stat

I've been told by some pretty reliable people that lowering the field is not possible because of the solid rock beneath the stadium. It's not even being discussed any longer. We've done several piecemeal additions over the years which have put us where we are. I don't deny that changes are needed. S...

Re: ESPN Bowl Projection

IF we were to win the conference straight out, would or should that give us a nudge towards NOLA? Doubtful, in my opinion. None of our bowls are obligated to take the conference champion. The NO Bowl picks first and they will always take ULaLa first, if they are eligible. They are much more likely ...

Re: NCAA to UNC: "It is our business"

There is no longer any reason for any athlete to go to any class. As long as a few lucky non-athletes are selected to be in those "classes" then there is nothing the NCAA can do. It disturbs me that the so-called flagship for the system that granted my degree chose to sell its academic integrity for...

Re: NCAA to UNC: "It is our business"

The NCAA just made itself even more irrelevant than it already was. There is no point in having the NCAA any longer. The big money schools can do what they want.
