Re: Spring 2021 Football?

My belief, since March, has been that there will be no football this fall. I've seen nothing to make me waver from that belief.

Re: App BoT approves renaming Hoey, Lovill dorms

It would be better if you could name things using generic local tie ins, but it might put a real damper on donations as big egos often like to see their names on things. I guess stringent vetting will be required to not offend anyone now or in the future. Unfortunately, I don't believe that is poss...

Black Lives Matter thread

I locked the thread because the OP got the apology he was seeking and the thread was spiraling into personal attacks.

And to be fair, there were five pages of civil discussion. Only when the religion bashing and personal attacks started was the thread locked. I'm 100% in support of discussion, but all the hatred and vitriol has no place here.

Re: And Another Thing

I think the hiding/censoring/"not authorized to view" is getting a bit heavy handed on the board. There are obvious differences of opinion on this board and some are very strongly held. Some of mine certainly are. I don't read every post on here and maybe I am missing something but I have not seen ...

There is longstanding bad blood between those two institutions, but that doesn't excuse his idiotic statement.

Re: ECU among the growing number of institutions faced with eliminating one or more sports

The cost of attending is the problem. With increased enrollments we should see costs to run a university per student to decrease (or slower inflation). The dramatic increase is cost of attendance is hard to understand. The luxury dorms, bloated staffing, student centers that provide every service. ...

Re: ECU among the growing number of institutions faced with eliminating one or more sports

college Expenses have grown so much over the last 20 years much higher percentage increases than other sectors of the economy. This isn’t just in sports. Quite the bubble they’ve created. Student loans have been an underlying issue that is cracking. From my senior year at App, in-state tuition has ...

Speaking of Warren Haynes, do yourselves a favor and watch this version of Breakdown he played the night Tom Petty died. He and his band found out about Petty's death during their show and threw down a completely unrehearsed version of Breakdown that was amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVyH...

Re: Missing baseball? Dream Brackets on mlb.com

https://www.mlb.com/dream-bracket Norm had a rough one in Game 7. 4 straight walks - highly unusual, but it's a sim. Can't really debate against the All-Time Yanks. But that BRM was a special team indeed. Still - a nice distraction while we await the Boys of Summer to hit the field again. Play Ball...

I've been deleting multiple accounts every day from spammers. Apparently, they have taken to sending PMs, which I can't see. Because you all provided me the user name, that account is now deleted as well. If anyone gets a spam PM in the future, just send me the user name.

It took a homer PI call to set up that field goal attempt!
I think Manningham made the catch, and they declined the PI.
