In this new environment we may need to find a word other than Committed to describe to describe a players intentions.

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF

Gonna require an antitrust exemption from Congress in order to enforce age limits or eligibility limits or transfer portal rules. I'm guessing collective bargaining and the antitrust exemption come about the same time.

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF

There is a difference between renegotiation and extortion. This dude threatened to sit out the playoff game unless they gave him more money. As much as I hate to say it, collective bargaining is the only solution to this.

A huge upgrade over Ware. Loggains knows what he is doing.
I don't think the resident troll was happy about this. Pretty much all I need to know to determine it was a good hire.

Re: Another domino has fallen NIL

I’m perfectly okay with NIL. Pay to play is not NIL.

Coaches leave, but they have contracts with buyout clauses. Players leave with no consequence. Not the same. If players are going to get paid then they need contracts.

My greatest baseball memory is seeing The Big Red Machine beat the Yankees at Riverfront in game three of the '76 World Series on their way to the sweep. Best team ever.

Re: UNCC Mayo Kickoff game now Friday

AppState tends to "take us for granted". Just give us your money and trust us. I want good seats. I may wait for the secondary sale. If someone knows a different way to order and I pick my seat and App can still get credit for my money let me know. "Shut up and send us your money," is a vibe I get ...

Re: MBB, SBC tournament vs Old Dominion, Fri 3/7 8:30pm

WBB ends the season on an 8 game losing streak and MBB ends on a four game losing streak. We’ve not had a lot of success in the tourney (3-6) outside of ‘21. Great job DG --- hiring NOT 1 But 2 coaches from a place called Presbyterian -- it's all on Doug, when baseball stinks and softball always st...

Lance Ware joining East Carolina football staff -- now that's a smart move by the Pirates, they will pick up 2/3 recruits per year from the Western NC, Upstate SC area based on that hire.
If they're as good as what we've had the last few years, we'll be okay.

I have two who were accepted to App as out-of-state students, but finances dictated that they made a plan B. One just got a deal that’s waaaay too good to pass up.
I paid out-of-state for my son and it was basically the same cost as in-state for Virginia Tech, and less than in-state for UVa.

Jackson is not a city I’d travel to.
Yeah, might have to work on that one a little bit.

Edit: I did a little more digging and Baton Rouge, LA is only 25 miles further from the center point. That sounds more appealing than Jackson.

Couldn’t pay me to go to Pensacola. Greenville would be a good option. But competing with Women’s SEC tourney I believe. All the good sites are taken. Top choice should be to alternate wherever the SEC doesn’t go, Nashville or Atlanta. Nashville, maybe New Orleans for the west side of conf. to make...

Ohio State deficit
I guess that is what it costs to win a National Championship and still lose to Michigan.
Michigan doesn't matter. They paid $23 million for a national championship and that's what they got.
