Re: NIT

Just took a closer look at the brackets. App has the second best record, Ind. St. has one more win and same number of losses. Only Princeton has fewer losses. Let's do this!!!!

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread

Good win! The broadcast of the two games might have been the worst of any college game I have seen. Announcer was mostly clueless and couldn't keep up with who was at bat or what positions they played. Camera person was awful. Fly balls to left or right and all you saw was the CF trotting over to ba...

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread

This game needs to be placed in the same lock box as the "It never happened" football game of a few years ago. Move forward and get better. The coaching staff needs a season or two working with the pitchers in the new lab. Sun Belt is a really strong baseball conference.

Saw an article on the Broncos, Virgil was injured and placed on IR. Outlook for the season was not good.

Re: 2023 Baseball Mega Thread

Besides searching all the rosters of the Summer College leagues, is there a way to get a list of where the returning players will be playing this summer? Would like to be able to follow their stats and maybe catch a game somewhere in NC.

In the mid 70's, I think 75 before there were Super Regionals we lost to Miss. St. in Starkville. A win would have put us in Omaha.

Re: GAME THREAD - MBB at Old Dominion, Sat Dec 21st

I have thought for a few years that the basketball support staff should work with the local rec leagues and middle school teams to offer special admissions for the youth players when accompanied by their coaches or parents. Recognize the leagues and teams during timeouts and involve them in activiti...

New conference mate So. Miss

Just saw that So. Miss is now ranked in the top 5 in college baseball. Hope they have a lot of Senior players leaving this season!! The Belt is already a very tough conference this will make the top level even better.

Kerns and staff shouldn't even consider recruiting anyone that is not shooting at least 80% from the line. Pitiful!!!

I remember the Playboy AA team being introduced on national TV. Bob Hope I think. Was so proud to hear Joe's name and Appalachian on National TV. And the articles were absolutely great to read on a cold Boone night!!

Is there a way we can take the posts about 3rd and 4th down conversions to another thread? I come to this thread expecting to see updates on the coaching staff.

Welcome to the Rock Intro

Anyone have a video or a link to one that shows the Welcome to The Rock intro? I had heard it was going to be different. Possibly with Coach Moore being involved.

Re: 2021 Baseball Mega Thread

Apps come from 5-0 deficit to win 9-5 in 11 innings. Left a ton of runners on in scoring position the entire game. Held Lipscomb scoreless after the 3rd or 4th inning retiring 12 in a row at one point. Let's get #2 on Saturday!!

Re: RIP Hank Aaron

Watched on a small b&w TV in a dorm room in Coltrane when he broke Ruth's record. Still remember having to tape the foil covered antenna to the outside of the window just to get a fuzzy image of the game. The whole hall erupted with cheers when he rounded the bases!!

Re: What happened to our offense?

Seems like we have not used the tight ends to attack the middle or at least clear a linebacker out of position for someone to run the slant in the space created. I think Gibbs and especially Pearson can make that catch in the seam.
