Re: New Vision for The Rock
That's pretty open ended, could be anything. Something special for the Miami game? I could be wrong but when I think "Vision" I think pretty long-term and pretty big, so hopefully this is the start of the next phase in the life of Kidd Brewer Stadium, in whatever form (expansion/retrofit/etc.) that...

Re: Winter Sports
I do, Sugar is by far the best mountain for all mountain riding. I was on the snowboard team (racing, not jumping). We practiced at Sugar. App has the best terrain park if your looking to jump. The new lift and the new slope has taken the mountain to the next level. You will love your pass. 2 of th...

Winter Sports
...No, not basketball
Does anyone else snowboard in the area? I'm coming up on my 7th year in Boone and this is my first season with a pass to Sugar. (Though I've been riding the whole time I've been here.)

Re: Another mistake by our Chancellor
If this is the most we have to worry about with our Chancellor then she'll be alright. But I see the witch hunt is well underway. The witch hunt started the second she said "Appa-lay-shun" during her first address to an Appalachian audience. Oh my god! Someone from the Midwest pronouncing Appalachi...

Saw this a couple days ago so if its already been commented on I apologize. http://www.underdogdynasty.com/2016/1/7/10730788/new-georgia-southern-football-hires-to-be-baptized-in-eagle-creek When I read this ridiculous article about GaSo "baptizing" its new coaching staff in Eagle Crik (Jimmy Stewa...

Re: Where the White Apparel At?
I called every Dicks in Charlotte, went to every sports store in North Lake Mall, and ended up buying the only white App golf shirt they had left from the Dicks there. It's a size too small and has a black smudge on the collar, but she gave it to me 15% off. All the stores had a ton of App gear: bl...

I'm just as excited for great weather as the next guy, but I'm hoping for a real Boone whiteout for a late season game.

Re: Where are the fans?
Most likely looking forward to a little game the following week. Tired of hearing that excuse. That's not to chastise those who can't make it for whatever reason but we can't claim to have such a great fanbase but yet can't get 24,000 fans to attend the home opener. There are certainly legitimate r...

Re: Return of Black Endzones!
I checked out the end zones on Monday. They still have the gold goal line and the white boundaries. Looks how an App State end zone should look like. BTW, I got a 10 x 20 all green piece of the old end zone, . Drove up as the workers were throwing the pieces in the dumpster and they asked if I want...

Honestly I prefer it. The black and gold stands out WAY too much when I'm surfing at work.

Re: Return of Black Endzones!
I really hope this includes a new typeface as well. The two lines of text in each endzone looked very bad, IMO. Agree. I actually dislike that more than the lack of color. I have to think that as long as they're changing one, they'll change the other. Gillin said he wants to consolidate our logo's ...

Re: Game Day Grub
Crock Pots should not be used for cooking. Keeping food warm, yes. What about when assembling a delicious dip or something of that sort? I do agree when it comes to those who "cook" like chili or something in a crock pot that there is a higher quality product when you cook at a higher heat and over...

Heading out of Boone tonight as soon as I'm off work. Away games are always a blast but I'm more excited than usual for this one.

And no Crockpots, right?

28-35 to Peyton Manthing U.
Does anyone know if the band will be traveling?
Edit: According to a post on YikYak, the band will not be at the game.
