Re: Orlando Sentinel

By every advanced metric they were ranked in the 100’s for defense....which is pretty not good. The Defensive Radars speak for themselves. Being drafted would be great, but there's no shame in him going the UDFA route if it comes to that. Andrew Norwell should be a great inspiration.

Re: 2018 FB schedule coming out Tuesday

When we were in the SoCon every other year we played the SC trio of Furman, Wofford, and Citadel, it was before kids, but I remember going to 9 of the 11 games many years. Please do not view this as an endorsement of those schedules, while I enjoyed those trips, but I wouldn't trade the last three ...

I wonder what the "tamper free period" is when it comes to naming rights. Say I win the lotto tomorrow and want to donate $11M ASAP, how soon could I expect to get the "NO.2 Athletics Complex" up in the big, shiny black?

Re: Thoughts on Job offer

Good luck!

I've felt very fortunate to be able to stay in Boone and work in my field of study after graduating...but I'd move to the Rockies in an instant if I were given the opportunity.

Re: Thoughts on Job offer

I have two great friends in Denver (alumni as well) who are closing on their first house. I've been somewhat in the loop during the whole process and it has been crazy (offering $25K over asking and still getting beat), I can get some pointers/tips from them if you'd like. Supposedly they got into t...

Re: Gillin Signs Extension Through 2022

That is good news BUT I want Fox to get some kind of extension. For what? For the recruiting class we will miss and the fact we are making progress albiet slow but we are crawling out of the hole left by Capel Fear of affecting the future cannot inhibit you in making a decision to extend a coach. I...

Re: Five Years Ago Today

So I guess we don't play well when just outside the top 25. This got me thinking, when was the last time App won when we were not expected to. For the majority of our games we are favored and I feel we typically win the ones we are supposed to win (don't look at UMass and ULM from last year!). Howe...

Re: Five Years Ago Today

And, a top 25 appearance. Did I miss something? I remember getting some votes here and there. We've gotten close in votes but have yet to make it into the top 25. Troy became the first SunBelt team to be ranked after beating us in 2016. I think you can safely say that we would have taken that spot ...

Losing Wake Forest and Georgia Southern x3 in one week from the home schedule is a gut punch for season ticket holders.
They can tear down the fence to make up for it.

Series vs Georgia Southern Moved To The Stink

This weekend's series with the Eagles has been moved to Statesboro due to the threat of winter weather.

2019's visit to Statesboro has been moved to Boone, per an email from the Athletics Department.

Re: 18-19 Hopes/Expectations

Consistency was our biggest problem this season, so I'd like to see that improve. We had great games on both sides of the ball but could never string them together. Doing so, along with closing tight games, would have given us 8-10 more wins on the season. And since they were already mentioned, I'm ...

Re: Panthers off season

Now we let Ed Dickson go, who showed to be a solid TE behind the aging Olsen, who announces he may retire in order to take a broadcasting gig. There have already been good TEs signed elsewhere during free agency. I don’t see how we won’t take a step back next season We had Luke Wilson in earlier th...
