Re: NEZ work today

NewApp...you implied that planning mistakes were made. Our administrators are the ones making those decisions. Ergo, you criticized them for poor planning. Appdaze suggested that maybe, just maybe, they aren't just winging it...as you implied. Even the best laid construction plans get off course or ...

Re: App cutting multiple sports

as a parent of a student who's team was just cut this hurts. wish they didn't expand the end zone and saved some money. Hindsight. The decision to build the end zone facility happened way before coronavirus started. What would you have them do, stop mid project, have an unusable construction site s...

Re: ECU among the growing number of institutions faced with eliminating one or more sports

On the topic of regional realignment from ECU’s perspective, joining a newly formed league or joining/rejoining Sunbelt/C-USA can’t look like a viable option. Regardless of travel savings the drop off in league revenue distribution would be so great it would stop that conversation in its tracks. Wo...

I love how the top half or bottom half of the logo gets lost in two out of three iterations.

Re: ODU AD wants to blow up CUSA

Moonshine... Greatly simplifying your statement, but if an App guy is someone we can underpay because of their love of Boone and have them stick around another year or two longer then that’s kinda sad. I know, we all want to stave off the G5 reality that our best coaches get hired away by crappy P5s...

Re: ODU AD wants to blow up CUSA

AppStFan1 I love that we got an "App guy" in Shawn Clark but I didn't understand the insistence on it from some fans. Give me a coach who can win...if he's an App guy, great. If he's not and he leaves for a bigger job after 2 or 3 years, fine. If Clark can get it done he'll have big time schools cal...

Re: ODU AD wants to blow up CUSA

Kennesaw has potential, for sure. Big time. They have a heck of a coach as well. He should be a P5 HC one day. He is brilliant and a great leader. I have heard nothing but good about him. If UNCC has another decent season, I think Healy is probably on his way to the P5 (VT? Miami? South Carolina?) ...

Re: ODU AD wants to blow up CUSA

I am so glad we don’t have an AD like Wood Selig. He talks WAY too much. Total stream of consciousness with that guy.

Re: ODU AD wants to blow up CUSA

SBC is now 3rd best until one of those powers like us or Louisiana leave. If any two of App, Louisiana, and GSU were to leave then the league would fall big time. Honestly you could just say App and Louisiana are holding it up. Nobody else in our league is carrying the banner strong in OOC play . T...

Re: ODU AD wants to blow up CUSA

For sure. I was probably using “half of Marshall fans” a little liberally there too. I just couldn’t believe they’ve got fans that would consider it. Half their threads are concerns about depleting interest in their program, less fans, etc. What do they think will happen when they’ve got 3 home gam...

Re: ODU AD wants to blow up CUSA

I’ve read enough AAC and CUSA message board threads to know they (AAC fans) don’t give a damn about App and the notion that half of Marshall fans want back into the MAC is patently false. A lot of Marshall fans want to be associated with App but don’t necessarily want to join the Sunbelt to do it. ...

So what? They’re about $26 million ahead of us in just TV revenue annually and we won the head to head. Focus on that part.

Re: U of Akron cutting school by half

MAC schools who don't drop down will have to roam the independent wilderness for a while. I've read a bunch of message boards threads from CUSA and Sunbelt fans at CSNbbs and NOBODY wants to be associated with those schools...not even Marshall who spent its early FBS years as a member wants them aro...

U of Akron cutting school by half

OUCH! The university of Akron announced due to revenue lost over Coronavirus that they’re cutting 6 of its 11 colleges (departments, not satellite campuses) and reducing athletic budget by 20%.

Re: What is Major College Football's Moral Obligation...

Time to reinstate turnstiles and actually count an accurate number of fans and enforce the rules. When the NCAA lets you count tickets sold you can flub the numbers however you want. Michigan has been padding their attendance numbers with stadium employees for years.
