If ULL and LSU were playing on a neutral field Saturday, who do you think would win?
I dunno, ask Troy.

Re: Coaches Poll 9.27

Louisiana gets bumped yet LSU is in the top 20 despite losing to Mississippi State. What a crock. Actually, that sounds about right because LSU only lost by 10 to an SEC team that many expect to be improved under their new coach. They had talent last year but the program was not run well. It should...

http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/skedball-weekly-sports-tv-ratings-9-14-9-20-2020.html Looks like our game vs Marshall had 1.249m viewers. It’s located under the “Other” section in that link. I can’t remember how our bowl games have done in the past but I don’t recall them having over a millio...

It looks pretty good in person. Once they get the end zone complete and the place is packed with people it'll tie up nicely.

Re: Appalachian St at Marshall Game Thread

Some of you all are acting like callers to the Paul Finebaum Show...don't be like that. Jeff Gordon said it best, when you win all the time, you forget how to lose. Marshall had an impromptu opportunity to play a ranked opponent at home to a stadium which could actually allow a crowd into. They're a...

Re: B1G is back

Interesting. So an 8-0 Ohio State (9-0) assuming they win their championship game trumps a 12-0 App State team who runs the table (theoretically) and gets into the playoffs? Oh, the puntits and media folks will do whatever they can to make sure Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State find their way int...

Re: Marshall Coach press conf

Why do people in the 40-50 age demo say "Appy"? I hear that quite a bit and I don't live in NC anymore. I hear it from Tenn fans, WVU, Marshall (my dad played a sport there there), etc. Did we push that branding back in 70's or 80's? Probably because pronouncing "Appalachian" is too hard for them.....

Re: Marshall moves to CBS

This is awesome for both programs and a fantastic way for the rekindled rivalry to kickoff! Is 2020 turning a corner? Hope so. With the B1G, Pac12, MAC, and MW not playing, if anything this is a prime opportunity to elevate the Sun Belt in both exposure to a larger audience and potential recruits. ...

Re: UNCC Game after reflection

I feel like we had a similar discussion after ETSU last year. I do think the rain and a quiet KBS were major factors in the performance of the game. We should have a better idea of where thing stand after Saturday I think.

We played in the rain, Marshall had a bye week with the ECU game postponed. Should be a good game...hopefully the guys are getting focused. Saturday's weather is looking good so hopefully that helps.

It would be nice with going against Marshall if we brought out the old white A though...and have an old-school SoCon Throwdown.

Re: New Football Uniforms

My son told me that the uniform reveal made Sports Center? They apparently weren't impressed with the "reveal". Hey we were just prepping for the actual game day. :) It was a cool reveal....not as good as the Halloween one but pretty good. Our A/V department is on par with the P5's, really wish the...

anyone got a video of that uncc player bouncing up and down on our field?
It's on ESPN's college football homepage about halfway down. I'd link it but can't.

Re: Articles post UNCC

The best quote I've seen in an article so far is from ESPN:

...But while the top echelon of the sport muddled through a patchwork Saturday, America was treated to arguably the most surprising development of a surreal 2020: The country's best conference so far is the Sun Belt.

Finally some respect.

Re: App #24 in AP Poll

Nice...who would have thought that we'd ever be in a situation where we'd be ranked after the first week of play?

And good job to the Cajuns too...it's about time they got the attention of the AP, that October 7 matchup is going to be a war.

Re: Charlotte logo

I agree, looks like a plane. Also the announcer kept harping that their uniform numbers were in violation of a new? rule. Have to have dark numbers or it's a 15 yard penalty at the beginning of each half and loss of a timeout. New one on me. Yeah, I don't know what the heck the guy was talking abou...
