Re: Break out player for 2020?

If #19 refuses to wear a mask he will get replaced by herd immunity by the start of the season. (this is a joke guys)

Zac Thomas is going to have a hell of a season. Looking forward to watching this one.

Re: SI leagues realignment's

I'd gladly drop Southern for this. Don't see it though. Reality is the financial problem is short term and the P5's can weather it.

Re: App BoT approves renaming Hoey, Lovill dorms

Hasn't this been on the docket for a couple years? I didn't think it had anything to do with the most recent protests. Easy on the boomers crap. I'm one, and I don't care if the names change. How about 'my safe space dorm' and 'my parent's basement hall'. Make you kids feel right at home.

Re: AppState Football fan safety survey

I guess i stirred the sh&t on this thread. Sorry about that, i wasn't trying to be ignorant or whatever other names were assigned. The 'magical mask' was divisive, sorry about that one, it was a humor attempt. I still stand by my views on this issue though. This weekend, I spent time at a beach club...

Re: AppState Football fan safety survey

Outside the metro areas, if you can call them metro in NC, not wearing a mask is the norm. We are fully open with 45 employees seeing customers. I went to a bar last night and sat on a barstool for dinner and watched football with my wife and another couple. It's been like this for well over a month...

Re: AppState Football fan safety survey

I think the flu comparison is very valid. We have a flu vaccine and roughly half the country refuses to get it. We have the magical masks for the covid and roughly half the country refuses to wear them. The comparison I'd like to see is if it's the same half. Personally, i get the flu shot but I'm n...

The additional support is need in case we later decide to add a track around the field, they can carve out space beneath the overhang to complete the loop.

Re: La. Tech AD talking trash

We also need to realize there is a difference between CUSA wanting to be in a conference with App State and with wanting to be in the Sunbelt. Take away us, ULLLLLLLL and Arkie and there ain't much left.

that guy is a tool though. I can't get excited about being in a conference with him.

Speaking for the club seaters...you can put the guys on the dang hill. Just play the game and let us watch. Might be best if our wives are in the upstairs though.

Re: UNC and NCSU announce plans

I read somewhere it isn't the heat it's the sunlight which produces vitamin D in the body and boosts immune system. Then heard that again from a local pediatrician.

If that's accurate we should schedule ECU again for Labor Day.

Re: UNC and NCSU announce plans

So now it’s heat and cold that are the deciding factors not social distancing and reducing contaminated surface contact? Idk what to believe anymore. I believe it’s a thing and that it’s bad but beyond that idk........... To be clear I didn’t look into the reason for starting early, it’s just a gue...

Re: Looking For Recommendations

I think Emerald Isle is the prettiest beach in NC. South facing so you can get both sunrise and sunset and close to Beaufort which is worth a day trip to see the waterfront. Nice aquarium in neighboring Pine Knoll shores. EI town is lacking but it's got a Dairy Queen so that's enough for me. Couple ...

Re: Schools

The article on Liberty said initially it had been reported that there were 12 cases but only 1 turned out to be covid. And the contact on that 1 was not school related. It's interesting only in that it proves returning to campus is possible. Which means returning to Football is also possible, which ...

Re: Schools

WSJ article this morning suggests that Liberty may have provided a template for returning this fall with bringing students back this spring. If we can get past "it's Liberty". They said that too. Mix of live and online classes and only 1 covid case that was traced back to be not school related. I do...
