Re: Uniform colors for New Orleans Bowl?

I'm glad this team appears to have embraced the black on black. I think the gold shoes and other accents give just the right amount of flash that the kids seem to like. Several times this season my eyes tricked me into seeing a flag on the field only to realize it was one of our players' cleats! Di...

Football Scoop reporting Nate Woody to Army as DC. Weird. https://twitter.com/ESPNRittenberg/status/1073668835654422530 WTF? That's a big blow to Charlotte. Spencer really had that defense playing well this season. I didn't think Woody was going to step back that far in salary to come back to App.

Well, Monken has ties to Paul Johnson and Georgia Tech. So, it's not totally surprising except for the rumors on here.

Re: New Head Coach - Eliah Drinkwitz

I hope I eat my words....but..... this is who we hire? Apparently the desire to be here wasn't as great as we were told if this is what we got. I believe about 90% of us are really happy with the hire and it exceeded expectations. For less that $1MM, who were you hoping for and why would that have ...

Re: Possible AAC Shakeup?

As the landscape currently stands, App State has no shot at the AAC. The AAC is a pipe dream at this point. Not to say it couldn't happen on down the road but the AAC would look much different by the time App would get the invite. The AAC would try to back fill any losses with the academies, then t...

You people have it all wrong. Eastern NC BBQ is great, Texas BBQ is great, Western NC BBQ is great. The only way to screw it up is go to SC and lather mustard on it. Go BBQ!
This weekend, Gumbo, Jambalaya and the Trinity takes precedence!

Re: Coaching Hires for Other Schools

North Dakota St loses their coach in the middle of their playoff run. Perfect example of why they need to move National Signing Day back to February and you shouldn't be allowed to talk to coaches while their teams are still playing. https://twitter.com/Brett_McMurphy/status/1072305226781257728?s=1...

Re: Board of trustees

While we are all freaking out over flight aware, I like to point out that there is a scheduled flight tomorrow morning into North Wilkesboro from Montgomery, AL. It's a Beechcraft super king, though. I'd hope we could get the new coach a jet rather than a turboprop. Also, I thought that airport clo...

Re: Mad? Lets do something about it!

I am an old guy alum (1976).....I would love it if we had a program where some of us could sponsor new members, possibly graduating seniors. If we get them started when they graduate then maybe they will keep it going. To me, that might be better than just sending a one-time contribution. I will mi...

Re: The pressure is on Doug Gillin: The most important season in the history of App State Football.

Imagine how much pressure Doug Gillin has. This is his first mega-test at App. there’s going to be a shit ton weighing on this decision. Coming in you are gonna have a stacked 13-0 capable team, an incredibly favorable schedule against two P5 state flagships that are in our local area that we can b...

Re: Great Article on replacement options

Everyone is going to say culture but that’s a list of 10 guys that literally no one else wants as a head coach, granted Elliot at GSU. I just don’t understand the need to box ourselves into these mediocre, at best, candidates. How many programs were lining up to interview Satterfield prior to him b...

Re: Message to Doug Gillin

It has to be Brown. Young guy who relates with the players. Will keep the lockdown D going. If we don't offer him the job he is gone. Depends on his goals. He could probably make the same money by being DC for Satterfield at UL. Get P5 experience and set himself up better or a big job in the future...

Re: Scott Gone

I'm not advocating Speir or Elliott at this time but it may be that they are just paying their dues and learning how to be a coach so I wouldn't be too harsh on them. Jerry Moore was not successful when he started head coaching either. When he was HC at Texas Tech, their supporters thought he was a...

In 2013, if we were offered a chance to go 35-6 in our first 5 years in the Sun Belt, win 3 bowls and win 3 SB Conference championships, but we could only have Satt for 6 years, we would have all taken that. We have achieved so much more than anyone could have imagined since we joined the SB. As lo...

I really really hope Satt stays. I just think he is such an incredible ambassador for OUR school. It’s not looking good, but I truly hope we get him at least one more year. Would love him to be here for the team we will have next year. Either way, I really hope he and his staff coach us in New Orle...

It’s best to book tickets through the school. Yes it may be more than what you find direct or on another site, but it helps the school out tremendously.
That whole Satt salary thing comes into play here, correct?
