Re: UNC-C buying tix on Hill?

Personally, I hope both the ETSU and UNCC games are sellouts. That’s good for our program financially and good optics in Kidd Brewer (not to mention, it strengthens my argument for regional conferences that don’t cross half the USA). I’m very high on ASU Football in 2019, but I do think the Niners i...

Re: Baseball 2019 Game Megathread

Great idea As I recall, this "system" was proposed a week or so ago and support for it was rather underwhelming. Seems the plan is to force-feed it to us now for baseball and softball. Let's see if you still feel that way in a couple of weeks when you have to wade through six, eight or ten pages of...

Re: Fox fired

For those of you that wanted him I know that Bobby Lutz is interested This would be a mistake. In what way? Too credible? Too experienced? UNCC has never recovered Lutz publicly turned down App in 2014, then things went south for him at NC State. And I don't think he wants to coach in college again...

Re: North Carolina lawmakers seek to allow alcohol sales at college sporting events

Based upon the bill's sponsors it may well be a done deal , based upon what I have witnessed at NFL games all that glitters is not gold. Agreed. I have nothing against drinking. However, for many attending Panthers games, the alcohol is more important that the game. I've never seen a fight at an Ap...

Re: Armanti

There is a whole highlight reel of Armanti plays. 1 reel was That Halloween night. That was one of the most fun and electric atmospheres I have experienced. Any night game at the Rock is special but that Halloween had just something extra and boy did AE put on a show. In fact I think he just threw ...

Re: Crazy Sun Belt Format

Next season, the first three rounds of the tournament are at campus sites. Only the "Final Four" will be in NOLA, and it'll be at the NBA arena in downtown. Call me crazy but, I personally like this format. I like it as well. It rewards winning. it's not impossible for a team to go all the way thro...

Re: Dear Coach Drinkwitz

Who is transferring? Other than Rubino. Is a Satt stealing him as a field goal kicker? Hopefully we can somehow find another guy who can kickoff to the 5 yard line. No offense to the young man but I think Satt just let him kickoff instead of demoralizing him 60% of his kickoffs were touchbacks and ...

How do we teach our youth COMMITMENT when the adults who are their mentors don’t know how to honor their own COMMITMENT?
Unfortunately, in today's world, that ship has sailed. It's all about living in the moment. (Can't say I agree with it, but it's reality)

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread

Not really much reason to move a 1000 yard rusher to WR considering the talent we bring back there. Evans is pretty similar to Nyheim Hines in terms of what he can do, and he played RB for Drink. While we are deep at RB, it is a position that tends to accumlulate injuries. Perhaps a normal game wou...

Re: Men's Basketball @ A-State

At least there is some fight left in this team. Last night they battled into overtime and didn't quit. It doesn't fix the problems (and a win would have really helped last night), but they kept battling. I do want this team to win, because losing sucks. There's no way that it's going to change DG's ...

Re: Men's Basketball @ A-State

Intersting that a men’s loss gets 43 replies while a women’s victory gets 4. Sad that the only decent basketball on campus doesn't get much love or fan support. Outside of Connecticut, Tennessee and a few other programs, I believe that is the status quo. Look at March Madness, Bracketology, etc.

Re: Another Top 25

Jalin's TD didn't cost us the game, poor kick coverage did. and not kicking it off through the end zone! The KO was seven yards deep in the end zone. The majority of those aren't returned. The KR danced and hesitated before deciding to bring it out. Our coverage guy missed a tackle that would have ...

Re: Basketball - Black and gold team....rest of the season.

It's really not a ridiculous idea. Dean Smith used to run a Blue and White Team in the 70's. Midway through the first half, all 5 starters would be subbed out and the reserves "Blue" would come in and play with energy for 2-4 minutes. Then, the starters would return and finish the half strong. What ...

You evaluate him , top to bottom. No better way to do that than live fire and the cost is zero. If he has it turned in the right direction including keeping our recruits, give him his shot. And oh yes , nothing on this earth is permanent. That's a good answer but I would still have a problem giving ...
