Re: Boise Tailgate

After the Wyoming fiasco I said I would never attend another Alumni Association tailgate. The one at UNC wasn’t bad though. Are you talking about the game and situational coaching or the actual alumni tailgate being a fiasco? Yeah, they were both bad but I was talking about the tailgate. The venue ...

Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates

I am not saying that they removed any seats at the Rock. I am simply saying that no one announces numbers anymore in sell outs. We may have sold more season tickets this year than last year. But, without the actual numbers, we don't know. Surge pricing has changed how events are marketed now. Someti...

Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates

Didn't really expect this. https://twitter.com/appstatesports/status/1929902145609851091 Not surprised at all. There is great demand for our product despite having a subpar season last year, NIL, transfer portal, etc. I know we hear a lot of grumbling about people not donating and giving up tickets...

My point being we will know who is on the team when the ball kicks off in Charlotte.
And...if these transfers are the real deal...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates

The constant Ferrari and Lamborghini references to those teams get a bit overused in my opinion. We had a really good roster but we had to hold on against and average UNC team and also against a bad USC squad who also nearly caught the game winner at the back of the end zone. Not to say we weren’t ...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates

Satterfield left drink a Ferrari. Drink left Clark a BMW. Clark left Loggains a Geo Tracker. A bowl appearance and victory is a solid expectation level for right now. That could change based on fall camp and the non-conference performance. But Drink had to drive the Ferrari and Clark had to drive t...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates

By my count we have 76 scholarship players as of today. 19 Seniors 13 Juniors 17 Sophomores 27 Freshmen Thanks for the numbers on that. Fairly good balance with classes. In today’s college football, is there any reason to care about balance among classes? If the roster was all juniors and seniors, ...

A new park would be built if MLB came to Charlotte. The good thing is a precedent has been set to play a couple seasons in a minor league park. Problem is, the current AAA stadium is probably where the MLB stadium would have to go Uptown. Not sure of any parcels big enough in Uptown. Maybe you re-d...

Re: Coastal to have free concessions

I would do this in Holmes for paying customers next season. Charge $20 for adults/$15 for kids and do Hot Dogs, Chips, Sodas and Nachos. In 2.5 hours, you're not going to lose money and in certainly could boost attendance and get families in the building for weekend games. You still have the opportu...

Troy getting desperate. They just took a kid who was arrested and kicked off of Georgia's team. I thought Auburn and Freeze would take him, but not even them. RaRa Thomas, Mississippi State to Georgia to Troy. Very good WR, but questionable character. Is Troy really in bad shape from a personnel st...

Re: UNCC Mayo Kickoff game now Friday

Looks like only $50 seats are left. Must have sold out the seats from the 50 to the end zone. They opened part of the Upper when we played ECU. This is a game where I'm not sweating tickets. It won't get to the point of filling to the Upper End Zones, so worst case, I'll end up with an upper betwee...

App is a big market team in a small market town. Granted that is what makes it appealing to us, it’s lacking in logistical appeal. It’s remote from any decent size airport. The town infrastructure isn’t quite set up to accommodate crowds that would come with the expansion of KBS. Not to mention ava...

A small skeptical part of me thinks that some guys enter the Portal simply because of ego or people in their ears. Seems like most are probably absolutely fine where they are but for whatever reason they must see greener pastures. It has really gotten ridiculous. People thought that sit a year rule...

Re: Panthers sign App St punter

This breaks up the App St./GaSo tandem for the Bills. Martin was the placeholder for Tyler Bass, the PK from the Stink.

He likely didn't re-sign, because he was a veteran and the Bills made a salary cap move.

On to next year. Hope the portal is kind to us The complete lack of any sort of offensive gameplan at the end of games is a much bigger concern. Kerns standing around and hoping Tate can win a bunch of one on ones is not a winning formula. If you do not have good players, it doesn't matter what the...

On TV it looks like their staff is literally impeding the playing court when we have the ball. Other than that I expect a one win tourney game and bow out. Just can’t rely on two guys to carry the team.
They were warned about it repeatedly in Boone, eventually leading to a stoppage in play

Wake and UGA are both on the bubble. Nothing is definite. Yes, I do believe Abson is getting more exposure in the SEC than the SBC. Every NBA team will watch their games because he is playing behind a True Freshman lottery pick (the only reason he isn’t starting by the way). A bottom quartile SEC t...

I love it. It could possibly stand up in court, if we had our players sign it when they sign their contract. All video of you in AppState uniform is owned by AppState. Of course we probably sign that right over to ESPN.
We would probably sign it over to Nike, who would sign it over to ESPN.
