Re: Hanging on for 26

#41 Caleb Sandstrom (who came out of FCS) and #93 DeNigel Cooper are a couple of young DL players who gave us good reps the second half of the season.

Re: Hanging on for 26

I am as disappointed as anyone but I have fond a few things to hang onto for 26. No I didn’t see the players or the coaching we will need to compete for Sunbelt championship. But I’m hanging onto three things for 2026. I did see individual players improve over the season. Just naming a few, Mbake, ...

Re: FB vs the fake ASU Saturday at 2:30

There is no excuse for that penalty. Not with timeouts left. Thats e on the staff. Maybe if we had a sharp OC upstairs they would have recognized it and gotten a timeout called. Did anyone on the field or sidelines even realize that we were lined up illegally? Evidently not. Also thinking that we s...

Re: No more upsets

If you want to add fuel to the fire, check out the P4 basketball standings. ALL BUT ONE of P4 teams + The Big East are .500 or better. At most, there are one or two teams per conference at at.500. The ACC has three undefeated teams, 5 one loss teams and 4 more two loss teams. In the Big 12, all 17 t...

Re: FB vs the fake ASU Saturday at 2:30

Interesting take from someone who played at a high level…. “ Close games tell you that you have the athleticism to compete, losing them tells you they aren’t being prepared “. Players just didn’t make enough plays. Dropped TD. Missed kick to lose/win. Defense got dawg walked in 45 seconds 75 yards ...

Re: FB vs the fake ASU Saturday at 2:30

2-6 in the conference 1-3 vs. the conference at home We could have run at least 45 more seconds off the clock on the penultimate drive and a win would have turned a negative season into a positive. DLo will get another year, but he better get an OC somehow, some way, If he wants to be successful as ...

Re: FB vs the fake ASU Saturday at 2:30

This is embarrassing to end like this but not shocked. The media should ask what the strategy was late in the 4th. We were calling plays like we just wanted to move the chains and drain the clock but left way too much time on the play clock. Then the TD pass to TE being overturned due to formation ...

Re: MBB vs Elon, 11/24 - 6:30pm

If this team wants to win we need to run. We “ran” our best scorer off in years because he didn’t want to blend with the system. We had a runner, coach didnt let him run. We’re not the only place he was run out of, only one common denominator Yeah, but he looked good down the stretch for USC today....

Re: If we win...

JMU has beaten one team with a winning record this year (Old Dominion). They do not have a signature win. They really don't have a playoff resume

Re: MBB vs Elon, 11/24 - 6:30pm

So the expectation is for our coach to basically rebuild a roster every year with portal pieces (probably down grades at best) and make them gel into a 20 win team? Uh good luck with that. Basically. Yeah. Other programs are doing it and having success. I don’t like it but it’s the way it is right ...

Re: FB vs the Thundering Turds, Sat at 2:30

I feel like offensive progress was made to a certain extent against Marsha... If DLo sticks to it. As stated several weeks ago, I do not believe our current OL configuration can battle effectively in straight up combat. Pulling and lateral movement of some of the OL was effective last weekend. Need...

Re: FB vs the Thundering Turds, Sat at 2:30

Here's something I was thinking about today. Feel free to light me up for this. Remember in 2023 when a whole lot of folks on this board were pointing out that every App loss except against Troy was by less than a touchdown? There were a lot of comments along the lines of "we are only 3-4 plays awa...

Tangent side note, but Maryland OC Pep Hamilton played QB at West Charlotte five years after Steve Wilks.

Turns out maybe the Charlotte win wasn't what we thought. 49ers struggled to beat Shaw.
Deja vu?

Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+

How do you expect a decline that happened over 5 years to be fixed in 1? Of course the same issues exist. It’s ridiculous to think they wouldn’t. We just have a leader who is better equipped to fix them. Do you have any facts to support your opinion? I hope DLo succeeds, but what are you seeing to ...

Don't know when we know about Swann or Dubinion

And Lewis for that matter.
Dubinion re-aggravated his shoulder on the first play. I think he came in as a decoy on one other play. If he’s out there, he’s a tough young man.

Re: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly- Marshall

While there are benefits to having an OC, there are also disadvantages. The largest being financial. Can the AD provide another $500k to hire an OC plus other salary bumps? Along with extra investments in NIL? Fair point. As much as having a dedicated OC would help, raising the needed funding would...
