Re: My favorite app uniform ever

I prefer the all black, but I did like the late FCS Nike Pro Combat alternate golds with black pants. I have one that I wear from time to time.

Re: End Zone project moving forward...

I talked to DG for 15 minutes a few months ago at an event in Charlotte. The track removal was most of what we talked about. He’s one of the only App people I’ve talked to whose scorn for the track matches my own. It’s a done deal pre-fall 2019. All that said, I’ll still click thumbs up to anyone w...

Re: App and South Carolina Schedule Series

I work with a lot of Gamecock alums, they are borderline intolerable. I hope we show up to play and take care of business.

As documented, I was one of the TL critics (Not as negative as perceived), but his IQ was unquestionable I am concerned about the new guys underbcenter and the increased potential for turnovers.... obviously not something we had to worry about with TL..

Re: Clemson 2024

I prefer not to look at how old I will be, but how young I will feel when I cheer on my Mountaineers for any future date. I've been blessed to take my son to just about every home game and a handful of big P5 away games for the last 8 years (and now my daughter). App State Saturday road trips are a ...

Re: App State Ice Hockey

Played hockey growimg up due to my Dad growing up in Utica. Loved playing it, contemplated pursuing it, but couldnt see myself going to school in Minnesota or NE.

I struggle to catch a lot of regular season NHL, but I am all in on playoffs.

Re: We need this type of facility -will our new facility fill some of these roles?

At schools like App St I AM telling you that. You are referencing the 40ish football programs that make a profit. What do we pay the other 95% of programs, do those players not get paid and thus those opportunities are forfeited so we can pay 2% of th athletes that play for profitable programs? The...

Re: UCF big win for g5

To me, an expansion to an 8 team playoff with all P5 Conference Champs, 2 at large, and the best G5 is intriguing. The CFP gets some media fodder with a "David vs Goliath" matchup or two and the G5 gets a chance to prove themselves. UCF was definitely one of the Top 4 or 5 teams, but UGA looks real ...

I would love to play either NDST or JMU anywhere. I have a friend who constantly reminds me where NDST is in the satin ratings.
Remind him he plays a FCS schedule....
Man, I am so glad we are out of the FCS, seems so irrelevant now. The FCS of old is loonnnngggg gone.

Suck for the Panthers, we at least had a great replacement waiting behind McDermott with Wilkes, now the cupboard is getting bare. I would love for McDermott to call Shula up to the Buffalo Panthers.....

Re: My G5 Top 10

My thoughts are similar. But I have also weighed the thought that a G5 “David vs Goliath” would be just as tasty for CFP to advertise, especially for TV. However they do it, I do not want the G5 to go to their “own system” as has been suggested, but an 8 Team playoff with the P5 Conference Champs, 2...

Re: My G5 Top 10

Pretty solid list. Hard to get a read on those MWC teams... would have been great to see how App State fared if we had not had the injuries/mid season lull. Easthall, you usually track the G5, what are your thoughts on how they can get G5 in the mix for Playoff games? Heard UCFs AD on LeBatard this ...

Re: Lamb

I think he goes down as the second best qb to wear the black and gold. Honestly, what he has accomplished during a transition is unprecedented and frankly should get more media attention. Yes, he had some limits in his skill set but not in his leadership and determination. Taylor Lamb has been grea...

Re: Lamb

appstatealum, as was mentioned, Taylor was not a FCS recruit. He was on his was to the Sun Belt USA Jags, until he changed his mind and decided on App. I can't think of a game we lost because of TL, but I sure do think he was critical to us winning some we otherwise might not have. I will join you ...

Re: Lamb

He was not an FCS recruit. He would not have come to App if we were not transitioning to FBS. Also, as far as P5 competion, that is a bit unfair as well. He has not played a middle tier P5 program...they have all been very good programs. He may have looked limited at times but understand this, his ...

Re: Will Lamb Go Pro?

Taylor has some great intangibles, but the tangibles you need to make an NFL roster just are not there. Brees has a small frame, but an absolute cannon and pocket presence rarely seen....same with Russ Wilson. Wilson has an unreal arm to match superb athleticism. Lamb's strengths are not the kind th...

Lamb

So, I am a '05-'06 Alum and have only missed a handful of games since 2002. Back in 2015, I came on here and stated that Lamb was a good FCS QB, but would limit our success as we move forward in the FBS. Of course, my critique opened the floodgates of backlash, but it was never a personal shot at La...
