Re: Top 25?

I agree, 15-25 we are highly competitive. 5-15 we don’t get embarrassed. 1-5 we probably get embarrassed. Exactly my thoughts. So say we run the table and win both the conference championship and our bowl game we might be in the 15 range at year end. We potentially return a better team next year. I...

Somebody had better tell Clemson that their stadium is small time.
I actually think Clemson’s hill is lame.... the little pebble they rub is definitely overhyped. I tell my Clemson buddy to come check out a real rock up at KBS.

Re: Ronald Blair on MNF

He has looked good tonight. Always thought he and Tanyi would make an NFL roster. I hate how things went down for Tanyi, seemed to be a good kid. My lesson is for my kids not to put themselves in questionable situations.

Re: JMU

JMU is delusional. Take your time, do it right. I’d blame the fans for just being fan-atics, but it sounds like their front office is just as delusional. I’d love to get out of the SunBelt, but I appreciate their willingness to take us and all we can do is continue to work hard, garner national atte...

Re: App State @ CCU Kickoff Time 5pm

Awkward time as far as meals go, but plenty of time to get "loose" before the game. I'll be there with my crew of 9. Let's get it!

Re: Top 25?

Right now, I'm feeling confident App could beat the Raiders. But that's just my opinion. ;) But... But.... Gruden.... QB whisperer.... Gruden grinders.... But... But... Honestly though. The NFL product is awful right now. No defense--defenders playing soft because no contact practices and safety ru...

Re: Top 25?

Out of curiosity, how many teams in the Top 30 do you think we could beat? Obviously, any given Saturday (or Tuesday...) can apply, but if I’m trying to think like a pollster and used the “eye” test, what teams do you think we could beat?

Re: State of the backfield

So Butch, are you suggesting Williams Jr. as RB1, Evans RB2, and Hicks RB3? I’m not disagreeing with you, I’m just glad that I am not the he one making this decision. Marcus Williams is a violent runner. He fits the bill as an early down back.... he is a punch to the gut even if he doesn’t break on...

Re: State of the backfield

This is a special looking season, I'd rather we pull CameRUNs redshirt and just unleash him. We seem to be getting strong RB recruits every couple of years, lets see CameRUN grow with Zac. I like Evans as that change of pace and KR guy. He is a wildcard.

Re: Top 25?

The college football beat writer for The Tampa Bay Times thinks we should be ranked. It’s nice to get some national recognition. Also, Chris Falica, aka, the Bear for College Gameday thinks we should be ranked as well. I posted earlier this week that national writer Pete Fiutak was on the radio tou...

Re: Top 25?

I want to be ranked to rankle our old SoCon buddies......Vermin Horseys, Wufford Puppies and the Kullowhee Kittycats who predicted we would get lost in the FBS nether regions. My son is a WCU grad and he is not happy about us doing so well. I got a WCU grad at work that was doing his best to convin...

Re: Top 25?

I look at it more as a benchmark kind of thing. I had fought with so many CFB fans over the years trying to tell them we do special things up on the Mountain and that this team would make the transition like no other. We have an incredible tradition, incredible fans, great staff and facilities and n...

Re: Louisiana up Next

I’m not impressed. There has been some abismal football today. Outside of Alabama, the degree of separation between teams is getting slimmer and slimmer. I just watched the QB for Missouri go shotgun into the end zone and then tuck the ball because of pressure= safety..... wow, just terrible situati...

Re: Liberty takes down Troy

*sigh*. I would just love to get out of this conference and into the American or something....but Todd is right, let’s just take care of our business and beat every team we play. The dominoes will fall as they will.... control the controllables and let everything else work itself out.

Surprising how bad some of the coaching is in some of these games. Good Lord, please allow Scott Satterfield to stay in Boone.
