Re: Thoughts on Job offer

Bmeudy, A couple of things. Denver is a great city for tech and is growing rapidly in that area. Once there, you will find many opportunities within the company you work and within others. I have a daughter there working as a programmer and she loves it. I was also told by someone living in Austin, ...

Thanks for sharing. Loved Mr S and took my future wife there on one of our first dates. Was tapped on the shoulder by Mr S just as the article says. He was right, I am a lucky fella.

Re: ECU Home Game Moved to 2023

Florida has a lot of TBD on their schedule. Already had one big name Florida school at the Rock, sooooo. If that were to happen my father-in-law, a Gator, would finally want to go to an App game.

Nothing better on a Spring, Friday afternoon than a Holly's dog and a few ice cold beers while watching the Sun go down. One of my favorite memories from my college days.

Re: Need a laugh?

In all reality would it be worth App looking to do something similar and pay for signs with the Bowl Game wins? I know its not a national championship but I always liked the FCS title signs that you see when you drive into Boone. I think it could be since App is marketing itself as a statewide and ...

Re: We need this type of facility -will our new facility fill some of these roles?

MN, MI and NW's facilities look awesome and I'm sure they are advantages or at least equalizers in their recruiting efforts. I love football, hate the track and would like to see our stadium evolve into somewhat of a horseshoe with 30K plus seating...I know, I know we need more season ticket holders...

Re: Apps Seek 1st Road Win

This is good news. I am really hoping they have turned the corner or at least have made a good hard turn in the right direction. I'm looking forward to heading up to catch a few games. They need support from the students, alum and other fans if they are ever going to really get going. We've been to ...

Did anyone see how many fans were at the Cure Bowl? Now that was sad. Great win, but hardly anyone there.

Re: Louisiana looks to have new coach

Yep, I remember that game very well. I was watching on TV and started to turn it off after they scored; damn Furman won. Then just before I hit the button they lined up to go for two; oh well I thought, it doesn't matter if they make it or not, they won the game, and I started to turn the TV off aga...

Nope, not interested; that slope's way too slippery. They should be pushing to expand the FBS playoffs to eight teams with one spot guaranteed to the best group of 5 team.

Re: Dollar General comments: ASU vs Toledo

I was really worried we would somehow end up back in Montgomery so I'm very happy with the Dollar General. While I'd rather see a new opponent the game last year was a good match up and I'm sure this one will be no different. I expect the Rockets will be looking for revenge so App will need to reall...

Awesome achievement. They've got a really good team this year and a great coach. I hope they are able to go deep into the playoffs this year On another FCS note, JMU is a beast.

Re: Stink chat

I was at the game and given the two losses in a row we've had and how bad GS has been this season and the fact it's Thursday night I thought the crowd was pretty good. I sit on the West side and it seemed to be fairly full with just a few spots here and there. Also, most stayed longer than the first...

I spoke with a good friend of Alan Gooch, the Director of the Cure bowl, last weekend and he said Alan would really like to have Appalachian State at the Cure. He said Alan and others associated with the Cure think we would bring a good crowd and would draw locally as well. I haven't seen anything s...

Kudos to you guys for asking about Shae. Unfortunately, IMO from his answer it seems like he will probably look for a new home next year. If he were to stay I think satt would have put it to bed there. Just my opinion. If he does leave, wish him the best. I didn't get that from the interview. IMO w...
