Re: Movies
Speaking of “Old Yeller” I had someone ask me if I had a nickname for my wife and Old Yeller just came out. I hope she never finds that out.

Re: Roll Call for Myrtle Beach Bowl
Park in lot YY, it’s free and a short walk to stadium. Shuttle bus also runs to stadium from there. Tailgated there earlier this year with a lot of other App fans. Never saw a cop or anyone saying no tailgating.

Was talking to some of the O line parents Saturday and apparently Cooper Hodges suffered a concussion on the 3rd play against Texas State. Sure hope he’s back, he’s a difference maker.

Re: Arkansas State 10/22
Based on a look at the NEZ live feed camera, the scissor lift used to film practice was fully extended with a camera guy on top leading me to believe that practice was going on. Fingers crossed, I hope that’s right

Re: NEZ work today
Brick work lack of progress is not solely because of rain. There have been weeks of great weather with no apparent progress. Could be delays due to COVID-19, who knows but just should have been completed by now compared to progress of the building and other trades. Having this building partially rea...

Re: NEZ work today
Exterior pressure washing is generally one of the last things that’s done on the building. None of the brick work has been cleaned yet either so it will look a lot nicer once that’s done. I’m baffled how the brick masons just can’t seem to get done. They are installing seats and the masons are not e...

Re: NEZ work today
Definitely brick on NEZ facing the stadium. Stone would be nice but brick is cheaper and quicker not to mention the one stone wall on the front that poor stone mason crew has been working on that forever. I know you can only go up so high before you have to quit and let it dry but man that’s slow wo...

Re: Turf Replacement Pics
My observations from today. Not exactly sure what the purpose of the asphalt edge is but I guess there could be several purposes including future adding a couple of rows towards field?? Who knows? NEZ is way behind. I realize the building wasn’t supposed to be completely finished but based on 30 yea...

Re: Turf Replacement Pics
That concrete form running along the west stands is actually a trench drain system. I’m hoping the turf will be extended to the stands and this trench drain will be a means to get rid of water.

Looks like maybe the permanent beams are beginning to be installed under the NEZ stands. To early to get a feel for how they are going to look.

I believe we can thank Mizzou For our new field turf. They essentially paid for it with the buyout of Drinkwitz contract.

Re: NEZ Update Query
If the columns were planned all along there would have been large Concrete footings poured when the rest of the footings for the building were poured. I don’t recall them being poured but I could be wrong. Most likely plans/ideas changed and the columns were added. Me personally, the building is a l...

Re: NEZ work today
If I had to guess ( pure speculation here) , this seems like an agreed upon compromise to avoid starting over, delays and lawsuits. In turn hopefully we’re getting something nice in addition to the original such as the patio and awning which I still can’t really picture. Just odd that these columns ...
