Re: App vs. GA Southern Coaching Hires
Yes T-Dog, really agree with your last paragraph. I was simplifying the change in formation. To beat their old (2013 version) you had to stop the fullback dive play and string them out to put them in third and long situations. Now you really have to stop the qb. And again put them in long down and d...

Re: App vs. GA Southern Coaching Hires
Finally Back... I appreciate the back up from all WVA appvette and T-dog. Ok let's try to make it more simple... It is no big surprise that TO offenses are ... lets say unique. While there are different versions and/or formations ... they run, run, run... and run some more. Ok M. buffalo lets addres...

Re: App vs. GA Southern Coaching Hires
OK lets deal with this here. Lets state the obvious, the reason people are saying that he is a "good" coach is b/c they are winning... Probably 60% of the reason they are winning has little to do with their coach (no matter who he is) it is b/c of the SCHEME they run. Remember Florida and how about ...

Re: Is this the lowest point in our program's history?
appst89 knows my answer to this.... no this is not the lowest point... two that come to mind that were lower was the '04 WCU really felt no hope then and in '81... somebody referenced it... the working years.... again no hope... while its mindboggling to think you can score 48 pts. (for a team that'...

This is a very good write-up... hope he is right about a fast start for us . Scoring 34 points would be great too.

Yea, this looks very similar to JM except he is willing to take the check from the school in the position of Special Advisor to the President. You know a "new direction."

Re: Q&A with Coach Moore
Selective memory .... that's what Jerry has... which is typical of somebody in his position. I think there is very little chance of him coaching at the collegiate level again. I do agree that we should "fully" honor him w/ something substantial ... like naming the field after him and a statute.

Ok let me add this too.... I think Rick Beasley hurts himself when he says "this is another attractive FBS opponent". REALLY!!! He would have been better leaving that quote out.

Just got out of a meeting, man that sucks playing UMASS... certainly hoping for more favorable scheduling than this for our 2016 home slot.

So lets start the guessing... while I would love it to be a home-and-home with Wake Forest .... my guess would be Marshall.

Re: App vs USM Game Thread
Overall... what a pisser. Even with the mistakes, this was a winnable game. And its because of the mistakes that we should all know how much potential this team has. Make know mistake that USM defense is for real and we had 455 total yds v like 325 for them. I thought our defensive play calling was ...

Yes it is about time... no matter which side you are on. Hopefully, they will do something significant and permanent (more than a plaque).

Re: Start Lamb
Lots to say, some of what has been mentioned. The DBs for Mich. were/are way better than the ones AE had to contend with and they knew how to cover. Secondly, Mich.'s 1 D blitzed like virtually every offensive play in first half (often two lb's) .They sent more guys than we had blockers. I agree our...

Quick and Washington do well
Brian had one of his vintage "climb the ladder" catches the ball at the highest point brings it down and get yards after the catch. Man, how many times did we see him do that at the Rock. 41yds. two plays later he beats his guy and all the corner could do is tackle him before he would have scored. P...
