Re: OFFICIAL: SHAWN CLARK HC

Well guys I think if we can go 1-0 each and every week we will be able to reach our stated goals of winning a sun belt championship and a goal with class, integrity, and academic excellence! ....oh wait nevermind We'll just sandpaper that ass, 1-0 each week. Can someone create a banner of Shawn Cla...

Dale Jones come on down. Jones and Roof coaching linebackers could be interesting.

IMHO I think losing Link is a bigger than losing drink.
DJ Smith is gone to Mizzou now as well.

I suppose that would open a spot to retain Roof and possibly bring Dale Jones back. That would be a heck of a linebacker coaching corp.

Re: OFFICIAL: SHAWN CLARK HC

I've never actually heard coach Clark speak. I'm sure he is bright (otherwise they wouldn't have hired him) but I have no concept of his football IQ. Does anyone have any clips of interviews? Is Clark a recruiter? A player's coach? An offensive guru? Or is he kind of a Dabo Swinney "good 'ol boy"? ...

Re: Doug Gillin?

You're really suggesting that someone who didn't get another job should get a raise for not getting another job? If that's the case, are you hiring? If you are job hunting with another firm, and have an offer in hand while not being opposed to staying where you work, you'd be a fool not to listen t...

Re: Bowl opponent musings

This has been on my mind the past couple days after reading the disappointments over our bowl opponent. It has gotten to the point that our fan base has me worried. We're grousing and griping about the lack of a more worthy opponent after finishing as SB champion, beating two P5 teams, and final ra...

Re: Our Next Head Mountaineer

Why would Nate Woody come back as an assistant? Wonder how much $$ he makes at Mich? Like a few of us have said, I just dont think Nate would be welcomed back here. I actually like Nate, but his personality didnt mesh well with a lot of staff/players in the past. Nate is definitely interested in co...

Now let's mop the Saint stench off the Superdome turf on the 21st, close out these recruits, and keep th coal hot and the train roaring.

Re: Drink Interviews Update

Fair enough points. I think a lot of it has to do with his inexperience in the position. He is a very smart individual so I doubt he didn't know the questions were coming, and with how well rehearsed he always seemed I found it surprising. He could have easily deflected those questions back to "thi...

All things considered, this could turn out to be a much better week than what was forecasted on Sunday evening
Makes me wonder if the contingency plan wasn't already in place.

Re: Our Next Head Mountaineer

Help me out here, who was the high school coach hired out of Shelby to be the assistant to the former head coach? Lance Ware Lance and I were on the same floor in Coltrane our freshman year at App. Good times. Glad he has been successful in his career path. If he went to Shelby, which is where Harb...

While we had better numbers than the MAC and MWC, the gap between us and the AAC is pretty big. I thought we'd do better with our top 25 ranking. I guess markets do matter. If the Sun Belt Ch...

Re: Thank you Drink

I am thankful for the season that we've had and Drink was definitely a major part of that. We're not going to get any mileage out of bad-mouthing him at this point. I'd rather have an ally at an SEC school singing the praises of our program. It's better to have friends than enemies. These kinds of ...
