Re: Evan Conley to visit Louisville

My money is on Nate. Can new coach reinstate Brown and convince him to stay? Or would he? That's the question. Why would he do that? Not a good look for the new guy to reinstate someone who was kicked off the team for discipline reasons. Not to mention, I don’t think brown was learning/ performing ...

Re: Evan Conley to visit Louisville

I was at the Yosef Club Spring Tour stop in Charlotte and I remember Satt speaking about a recruit that Woody flipped to GT after leaving App. He said “if [Woody] were here I would probably punch him in the face.” He didn’t seem to be joking. I wonder if he changed his mind now. My money is on Nate...

This is freaky.

I had to really look at this closely to make sure both guys are not Satt.
So, we were all worried about DG finding a new guy and DG just cloned the old guy...well done.

Re: Evan Conley to visit Louisville

Doesn't look like Conley got much interest, if any from P5s so getting a visit from the UL coaches and invited up is probably exciting for him. I don't blame this kid at all for visiting, after all he didn't even know who our coach was going to be much less talked to him to see if he fits his offens...

Please call him “Drink” for short, or anything but ED. That is uncomfortable for us older fans.
LOL...I hear there's a pill for that!

Re: New Head Coach - Eliah Drinkwitz

This looks like a great hire to me! Don't know the guy but I like the P5 OC experience. No coach is perfect, how many people have complained about Satt's play calling on this board in the past. Overall, he seems like a winner. Considering DG has a limited budget, competing coaching vacancies getting...

One of the coolest things about Gattis would be the first African American in our history as coach. That’s cool.
Would be cool, but all I care about is that he's a good man with a strong character, wins most of our football games and keeps moving our program forward.

Re: Article: App State Athletics Loses Money, Sends Students the Bill

This is obviously aimed at the football program and I agree that the sports program attracts students to the university. App is a bargain at about $15K per year to attend especially when compared to other schools. We were at one of the open houses this past fall and it was a packed large room with a...

Re: Board of trustees

You know, I'm both highly impressed and a little annoyed that our athletic department has kept the wraps on who this guy is so well. I know they have their reasons and they're doing it the right way but the suspense is killing me and impacting my work performance as I'm checking this board way too o...

Would be really neat if we could do some sort of patch or helmet sticker for this game
My thoughts exactly.
On such short notice it might be a challenge to coordinate but I would think simple Globe and Anchor stickers should be easily available...would need 85.

Zac was off the first matchup with ULL. May have been their D/scheme against him.
Yep, and I'm sure MT has noticed that it gave him fits in the air, but fortunately he can also get it done with his feet so they've got to contain him.

Re: Board of trustees

If the "failed background check" is fake news it's really not cool to start that kind of rumor for anybody...much less the man that might become our head coach. I don't know anything about Gattis except that Penn State didn't want to lose him and Nick Saban wanted him. Based on that alone he seems h...

Yes, this is what you think it is.
I know it is. I commend DG and app athletics for being so tight lipped. Not a single credible leak though this process.
It's Tim Horton. Sources have stated as much.
What "sources?"

Re: Board of trustees

Just because the board is meeting Thursday does not mean they plan to announce before the game. And also, Ivey would never do that. That would ruin his reputation as a coach if he bailed a day before the game after being tabbed as the HC for the game... I agree about Ivey, he's got a chance with a ...
