Where will the intramural football teams practice?
I would think there'd be space at the old Watauga High School property for this type of thing. I've heard the phrase "mixed use" with locker room facilities, etc. It's a nice addition to the campus.

Re: 2019 would you rather

This team certainly has the ability and talent to go undefeated this year but it won't be surprising if we drop a couple of games, or even 3, more than 3 losses would be a disappointment to me. We're playing 2 P5s (both of whom will most likely improve this year) plus we know the Sun Belt will have ...

Re: 2019 would you rather

If we were playing almost any other mid-tier P5s instead of the two Carolinas I'd say lose those two and sweep the Sun Belt...but since it's UNC & USC; I'd begrudgingly sacrifice two conference games to beat those two particular P5s. Implications are huge for recruiting, bragging rights, top 25 cons...

Re: Early 2019 S&P+ Rankings

I know what the reaction to this is going to be: but we really HAVE to do more than be competitive against our ACC and SEC opponents next year. Agree. For years we have rationalized losing to the P5 teams by saying that we got them on their way up. We know how close we came with PSU, UT and Wake. A...

Re: Early 2019 S&P+ Rankings

I'm pretty sure we're not getting a "down" UNC team. We're getting a team that was down in 2018. The Tar Heels went 2-9 with two overtime losses and four losses decided by a touchdown or less. In my book, that team was snakebit. That's partly due to Larry Fedora's struggles as a head coach and part...

Did y'all see this? Could Jalin Moore contribute to a cluttered backfield? Hogs Haven takes a look at 2019 NFL Draft prospects that could contribute to the Redskins https://www.hogshaven.com/2019/2/10/18198688/could-jalin-moore-contribute-to-a-cluttered-backfield?fbclid=IwAR2nlYNjUx2ZMhcPiqJ0-m9LTCR...

Re: Zac Thomas voted best QB in SBC for 2019

I want Baldwin to develop into a Stud QB too. Hopefully he will and time will tell. Both Huesman and Derrick have good skills. Both had an opportunity in a big time game with big time pressure to show what they could do with live fire and it didn’t fare so well. Maybe they can improve in the future...

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread

Losing these 3 coaches so quickly is definitely frustrating but in the long run won't matter one bit...we'll even forget they were here. Based on what we've seen so far we'll probably get a better crew anyway. We were upset when Stephon Brown was released and then we were doubly upset when Satt took...

Re: If you're not part of Yosef

Quick Gerald story seems appropriate here. Met him in 1991 at a rouser in Hickory. Kids, back then fellow App Fans were few and far between. I was amazed how many peers were there in Black and Gold. Gerald hooks me up with Yosef, Comes back over after I had each beer and talked me into upgrading. O...

Re: Sports Nation: DEEP REWIND: Mich v App State

Wasn't the stuff about the kicker running down Lynch just good-natured ribbing that always happens when a kicker makes a play like that? Anyone who is knowledgeable about that game and the fact that we only played like 29 guys the entire game wouldn't seriously criticize the player that wasn't only...

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread

As long as we stay healthy, Drink will have many highly effective weapons in his arsenal. We need to get as many touches as possible for Evans (from whatever position), Peoples (assuming he is the beast we've seen flashes of the few times he played this past year), Sutton and Hennigan...these guys a...
