And Johnny Unitas called his own plays - drew them up on the field sometimes. Fun to watch.

Re: March Madness
Edey has the reach to affect a lot of shots. Don’t care about the NBA but just saying he is a very good college player.

They can test the waters and then jump out of the portal and back in the App pool (if the staff accepts them back).

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
“What does campus crime rate have to do with football? Seems like a bad generalization... Every program isn't ran like UGA.” I was thinking about Coastal Carolina and ETSU. When CCU started their program in the early part of this century, their on-campus crime rate rose dramatically. I read the repo...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
We are a training program for the schools with deeper pockets. I guess Kerns will go looking for transfers at every level - those from big conferences that are looking for more PT and those from little schools that want to move up because they feel they are better than the school they played for. Lo...

I’m just happy that 4 cheaters lost (Self, Calipari, Pearl, Drew - the one at Baylor). But that’s in the past because there are no rules now.

Re: Basketball Scores of interest Final 2 weeks
I foresee head coach vacancies in the very near future at N.C. State, Vanderbilt, Temple (coach in 1st year but trouble there), Miami (retirement rumors), UT Grand Valley (the coach who did fairly well at APU). I’m sure there are others already. The rumor mill is about to heat up. I hope nobody gets...

Re: Passenger Rail study funding from 2023 Q3 and 2024 Q1
I agree with BambooRd about the bullet train. It is an amazing thing. No traffic, no detours, no inrerstate construction delays, no pileups, no cones or barrels, no drunks driving, and you can play on your phone safely and not have to dodge those playing on their’s while driving, and a lower carbon ...

Re: Free Throws
I hear you, rek! Correct. As a long time coach, 40 years, we always had a couple of rebounding drills on the practice schedule. Some players didn’t particularly like those drills, and it’s hard to simulate game rebounding situations in drills, but whether the techniques were effective might be quest...

Re: Free Throws
When looking at stats, I always look at the margins. The chart shows our team is 5+ in rebounding, 5+ in blocked shots and have a few less turnovers overall. These are the things we do well. I always look at rebounding. The best way to be a good rebounding team is to recruit good rebounders - same c...

Re: Wilks Fired
The 49er defense, in at least two games, was called out for not playing hard. I saw some of it that the know-it-all yakkers on the sports talk shows were showing and discussing some time back. This must not have boded well for Steve.

Chili Payton was the SOCON POY in ‘79? Is that right? Boo Lawrence scored 32 at Clemson and I believe he did not miss a shot. Could be wrong. Does anybody remember that game?
