Re: New WBB coach: Alaura Sharp
Believe it or not, who your dad is doesn’t automatically gift you a D1 scholarship. Hege was more than likely not ready for this level out of high school. 16 of her team’s 33 points against Duke this year is very promising. She’s a Mountaineer now. I hope she scores a billion. Sharp & Co will need s...

Re: Angel steps down as WBB coach
That’s a legitimate take. There are very few colleges in NC in “destination cities”. We may have the best. Nobody goes to Greenville for a vacation. Bottom line, App nation has to pony up. If the athletic departments hands are as tied as they make it out to be. It’ll be up to the average Yosef membe...

Re: Angel steps down as WBB coach
I’ll just put it all out there. YOLO Marshall WBB went and spent 60k for two recruits through NIL. That’s 30k a pop. That’s the going rate. (Janay Sanders got 25k to go to Minnesota.) The Marshall AD rolled out the red carpet for her and prioritized WBB. Caldwell’s husband was given a job on the men...

Re: Angel steps down as WBB coach
She is healthy and doing well. Just an overall lack of investment from the athletic dept. If not for title IX they might have car pooled and packed PB&Js when going on the road. Add NIL as seriously lacking and it makes it hard operating with one hand behind your back. Year after year after year aft...

Re: Chancellor Kenneth E. Peacock
Totally agree. When you saw the chancellor doing push-ups in the student section, firing the rifle, and indulging at a few tailgates it was hard not to love him as a student at that time. He was the very best. You nailed it. He made it very normal to be obsessed with App. 🖤💛 Crushing news.He was cha...

Re: UNC game discussion
If we are able to run consistently, we can absolutely beat them. They will stack the box and force us to throw to our new receivers. I imagine with their soft defense, we will still be successful running the ball when they stack the box. They will be drastically improved on defense. Make no mistake...

Re: UNC game discussion
Have you watched our P5 games over the last several years? Kept us in the game at PSU. Lost us the game against Wake. Won us the game at UNC. It could EASILY boil down to special teams.

Re: Where to watch the game in Boone
Boone Saloon may be a nice option if bringing kids. Classic Arcade in the basement. Pool table also. I’m sure they will have the projector out for that one so there shouldn’t be a bad seat anywhere. Ransom will definitely have a good crowd. Good amount of TVs. Lost Province will have a projector als...

Re: UNC game discussion
Boy I hope so!!! But the proof is in the pudding for Chizik and success at UNC. He’s done it already and he knows how to turn it around quick. That combined with drastically more talented players is a recipe UNC fans will like sooner than later. Hopefully they destroy their first opponent and feel w...
