Re: Time for Change with App State Basketball
I never expected us to be a post-season regular but I did hope for improvement. I would actually take Capel's performance over this and the record backs that up. Plus that was in the SoCon which is currently ranked 11th in conference RPI. The Sun Belt is 17th. To be fair the last time we were ever r...

App's Wikipedia Athletics Pages
If you were to read our wikipedia pages you would think we had just beaten Michigan and were enjoying life in the SoCon. Seems like the only update in many years is that we were in the Top-25 once. There's probably a few people like Satterfield that belong on the notable alumni list too. I'm guessin...

Re: VERY worried about the state of our recruiting class this year.
The problem with going off “offers” is are they actually committable offers. P5s throw “offers” around like candy by the hundreds. It’s a good indicator but just because someone has an offer at West Virginia or wherever and they sign with App does not at all necessarily mean they could have signed w...

Re: Football scheduling
From what I understand it wasn’t a true 2 for 1. It was a 2 + neutral. So actually I think it’s marketing by UF to make it seem like they gave UCF a shot but actually they just offered a terrible deal knowing they wouldn’t take it.

Re: Time for Change with App State Basketball
This isn’t going to sound real because all of us are sports fanatics, but I think at least half of our students and alumni don’t know we have a D-1 basketball team.

Re: Rating the North Carolina Coaching Hires
The problem with the App job is there is very little room for improvement and a long way to go down. The pro is the talent is all there to at least maintain the success. ECU on the other hand if they have a 6 win season the guy will be hailed as a miracle worker. So that coaching hire could end up l...

Re: New App State Blog
Well I spoke with one of the Underdog Dynasty guys and got the email for the head honcho at SBNation so I’m gonna get all the ducks in a row and make a pitch and we’ll see what happens.

Alright I’ve messaged everyone so far, now I think I’m good with volunteers I got way more people than I expected.
However, if anyone has any friends that work at SBNation or know of any similar type websites that could be helpful.

Re: New App State Blog
Thanks for the interest guys, I heard from several of you and I pm’d a few that responded on here.
Does anyone know any other sites like SBNation that could be a backup plan? Haven’t contacted them yet because I’m looking at all the options first.

New App State Blog
So I started AppStateNation back in the day which eventually morphed into AppNation247 along with a few talented others like Holloway who I believe is still at 247. Before that I did movie reviews pretty seriously so I’ve always been into blogging one way or the other. Later I simultaneously went th...

Re: Bowl game thread
Drinks assistant budget was slightly higher than previously. If he acts as QB coach/Oc he could potentially consolidate a few positions into one and have extra money to keep those guys around. Also, what about Satts buyout money. Where does that go? Him not having to pay a premium for an OC was how...

Re: Possible AAC Shakeup?
Getting really good in basketball would do help but if let’s say App went to the G5 access bowl 2 out of the next 3 years and time it just right when there’s openings it’s not out of the realm of possibility. If it happened this year I doubt we’d get much of a look at all.

For what though? How does he pass background checks at Penn State and Alabama but not at App? Not saying it’s impossible but seems like rumor mill to me.

Re: Board of trustees
Searels is the worst pick of all. Nate Woody would be light years better.
