Speaking of damage, I believe we can do more damage in the NIT than NCAA. Thus, in a way, this works to better our post season advantage. So to speak in laymen terms

The team deserves (in my opinion at least) a NIT bid. With that said, hopefully during this tournament sleep walking through half a game will be something of the past. Get rested up, shake it off, refocus and get it done. Move forward.
