Re: Top 5 most dominant single-season App defensive performances
I couldn't find stats to see how they stack up. But the only name I could think to add to the list was Matt Stevens.

Re: Eric Church
The fact that Eric Church is supportive of UNC which is also coaches by two former Mountaineer Coaches doesn't bother me at all. The way some people get up in arms about this is ridiculous to me. I know plenty of folks that are also fans of other schools that also support App, both as a fan and fin...

Re: Peterson to Illinois?
We should be looking at Tom Knotts. At Dutch Fork Unless something has changed, he does not have an interest in the college game. https://www.wltx.com/article/sports/high-school/football/101-4ca2e3bf-d0c4-4b95-9c21-31886782db1c I grew up about 2 mins from Independence high school in Charlotte and a...

Re: Peterson to Illinois?
It doesn't matter to me if we bring someone with App ties. I just want someone qualified and that runs more of a spread type, explosive offense. My biggest concern is bringing someone in and not allowing them full control of the offense. Turn them loose and don't make them run the same offense we've...

Re: Petition to move App/GaSo to Saturday
Would love this game to be on Saturday, simply because you need a full week to prepare for their offense. Tough to prepare on a short week. The crowd would be bigger also. However, letting CUSA and the MAC play the midweek games while our conference plays the weekend is not a good idea in my opinion...

Re: Men's Basketball Coaching Search
Yes, but he didn't have enough attempts to qualify to lead the ncaa. He didnt take bad shots. Layups and dunks. Was one of the worst free throw shooters I have ever seen. But I loved to watch him play, especially when he played the point forward. Surprised I haven't seen Rodney Peele's name, unless ...

When i started this thread, I did so because i had not seen it mentioned here. I have no idea why it should only be for the moose lodge since the info was released to the local media. There was nothing but info given on what was reported.

Re: New Softball Coach Needed
Monte is at Pfeiffer, his alma mater, and it would take a haul to get him. He interviewed at App before and had many demands. I'm sure they'd be higher now that he's winning in college. However, we need to find someone that can recruit. He has 3 all Americans at Peiffer, 1 being his daughter and the...

Where do you leave from in Winston. Is the stop still Lowes in Belmont? Are both places safe to leave your car unattended? Just a few questions. Could possibly be interested.

Re: What is the Greatest Moment in Appalachian State Men's Basketball History?
Many have been mentioned. But one of my favorite was when I went as a kid and watched us beat Nebraska at Varsity Gym. Nebraska went 20-10 and had 1st Rd draft pick Eric Piatkowski and we held him down with Ricky Ned's, probably one of the best defenders we've ever had.

Re: New Baseball Coach Search
Chris Moore, former ASU assistant under Pollard and a finalist for the position after Pollard left would do an excellent job in my opinion. He understands how to deal with the weather here in Boone, knows how to recruit to win at App, and for what it's worth has moved back to Boone.

Must be fixed ASAP!!!
This has been mentioned before, but the sound system is an embarrassment to our stadium and standards. You can barely hear the announcer on the other end of the stadium. Could easily be fixed by adding speakers to top of Owens. It's been this way for a while. Anyone have any idea why this continues ...

Re: Baseball Uniforms
I am not a fan of grey shirts with white pants, but I actually like this set. I think the grey stirrups makes them uniform look better with white pants. The black and gold are terrible and the cap is worse. Just stick to the hat with the block "A" as the grey uniform or the yosef on the black and go...

Re: Flashback: 25 years ago; ETSU @ ASU
I was there. Awesome crowd. I remember you had to get there early to get in and get a good seat. I was also there a few years after that when we defeated Nebraska who had Eric Piatkowski. That was when we had Ricky Nedd who could flat play some d and handle the ball pretty good as a point forward.

Saturday scout day
Anyone know the process. I haven't been able to find anything online but was told scout day was this weekend and to be there 2 hours before kickoff. I was wondering where to meet, what they do? Etc.

Re: Our fans treatment of visiting team fans
My biggest problem with our fans, is the group of students that don't pay any attention to the game, but do nothing but yell obscenities to the opposing fans. A large group of students in the end zone seating started chanting f%$k Montana and flipping them the bird. Very classless and it doesn't rep...
