Re: 2021 Expectations...
“Casual fans”, sure that’s an easy one. “Engaged fans” .I wish but no. Not close. Participation in this forum costs nothing. I don’t see 60,000 users .A couple of thousand I suppose. Nowhere close to 60k. YOSEF Club members , what three thousand ? Four or five thousand? Doubt it. No. Casual fans ar...

Tough to watch, but nothing that can't be fixed. Time for the team to move on, learn, and kill it next week!

Re: Official Marsha prediction thread
Mountaineers - 35 Herders - 28 Mistakes that were made as a result of on-field discipline (jumping the gun & roughing the kicker) are easily corrected. They happened at inopportune times. Some mistakes were due to weather, which shouldn't be much of an issue. I think the team gels together well unde...

Re: Extra year of eligibility for spring sports athletes vote
This is honestly a great life lesson for these athletes. Sometimes life throws a wrench into your grand scheme (playing in a championship your senior year, for example) and you have to persevere. It doesn't affect me, but I hope the athletes that had their season outright canceled have an opportunit...

Re: Salaries for App State assistant coaches
Interesting to see the two guys with NFL experience (Nunn and Rowe) towards the bottom of the list. But all in all it seems pretty balanced given the pool of money afforded to Coach Clark. What I noticed is that, other than participating in a bowl game, the highest bonus for the assistants is based...

Re: SunBelt Football Schedule 2020
This schedule is terrible. Wednesday night home game is nearly impossible for us. And is that a home game on thanksgiving weekend when students will be home? 2 Wednesday night games and 2 days after Turkey Day....yea, someone's trying to kill the home field advantage for these more difficult games....

Re: App vs ECU getting bumped
I emailed the leadership at the Charlotte Sports Foundation. I wasn’t rude, I simply let them know I was disappointed in how App was treated. I really just wanted them to know that we exist. I received not only a prompt return via email but also a phone call from the executive director, Mr. Danny M...

Clark fit what the Athletics Dept and University were seeking at the time of hire. Some writer who's never met nor seen the man coach is "grading" the hire. I'll be over here continuing to get stoked for next season. 205 days until Morgan State!

Re: Finish Strong 2 seed possible
I feel like Kerns has the ability to adapt to different teams with different strengths and weaknesses and not just have the same team every year. Hustle, going after loose balls and defense are almost universal, so you can have those as building blocks and create different identities. Hence why I'm...

Re: Questions to parents who have kids at APP
This is 5-year old information: Winkler Apartments near the mall was where I lived my senior year. Benefits are: 1) Walking distance to Appalachian Mountain Brewery, Peabody's, and Cookout. 2) Appalcart stop is nearby at the stripmall next to the buildings. If they get a place above the retail build...

It really shows the difference he is making in short order. Maybe the team will be strong contenders for a top 2 seed in a few years.bettysburner wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 5:05 pmCool tidbit to note as well - Kerns has already matched last year's win total.
