Re: Portal time 25-26

Agents still have to be licensed in every state. There is an application process and you have to meet certain requirements in order to be an agent. What i haven't looked into is whether the ncaa is going to require anything of the agents. So there is some filtering due to having to be qualified for...

More likely to take my talents to the couch and pull for the same team with someone else paying for my entertainment.

If we drop four less balls at certain times in the season this tread would be half as long.
Isnt that the truth. I dont think the play calling was a problem this year.

Re: Portal time 25-26

Agents are going to agent. It earned him $500k. Sobering reality that fans making a fraction of the players are asked to fund it. This should be DLO's sales pitch. Come to App work hard make plays get paid $500,000 next year. We should get the agents number. Let him be part of the sales pitch.

Re: Portal time 25-26

Surely we are not paying for a running back.....unless he can catch like a receiver and run like an allstar running back.

Re: Portal time 25-26

I did not realize he lost the last 5 games of the season....that is a tough ending. I would take him back in a heart beat, but I do think his offense would be tough to run with a new load of players each year. His offense was/is pretty complicated to run. It was fun to watch when it was clicking.

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?

Over the past few years, I have not watched complete games of the CFB playoffs as it seemed it was pretty much the same teams (just change out one or two). I have actually watched more non App. St. college football over past week than in past few years. Opportunities for teams not named Ohio State,...

Unless there are big improvements next year. Satterfield might be in the portal. He isn't doing any better than he did at Louisville.
Dude...he was ranked top 25 for part of the season.

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?

A good g5 team could hang.....it is the reason for the game. If the rules are made and they take the top 5 champions.....absolutely a g5 belongs. I personally think this years g5 reps were the worse g5 teams in a while. I hope we expand to 24

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?

I don't know Nick Saban.....We may need to create a special playoff for Alabama and the SEC teams...they don't belong in this big boy football.

A running back able to catch out of the backfield is pretty important as well. You need every option to be a dominant football team.

Re: Birmingham Bowl

Unless you are way more talented and bigger in all aspects of the game, I don't know how you design an offense without plays for a running quarterback and win. It is too easy to defend against a slow quarterback. We have been watching it first hand for years. Only 2 of the 8 teams left in cfp playo...

Re: 12/31, MBB at Old Dominion - 2pm

We lost a game to Wake Forest a couple years...maybe 3....that all we had to do was throw the ball in. That was probably the worst AppState memory of my life. I was so excited for AppState to win that game. Maybe it was 4 years ago. I think it was a Kerns team.

Re: Birmingham Bowl

I believe you should get two years now with the portal. I don't think Dlo got his full first year because of timing of the hire, but I don't know what it is really like. I imagine the people paying the NIL money get some say now on what they think about the coach as much as the AD. It may be in the ...

Re: Birmingham Bowl

I may eat these words next year, but I think DLO can run an offense. I am hopeful to see a completely different offense next year. I think he will get his pieces in the off season and we will se a similar offense from what DLO was running at South Carolina. I predict it will be a duel threat quarter...
