Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY

Build more seats that’s what we need. There's plenty of room to put a third deck over the existing concessions and bathrooms. Might be better to offer a moderate option. Put a roof over the third level with stadium seats (Like the Packers did at Lambeau) and price those between the exposed seats an...

Re: College Football

It is going to end badly. I hope we keep doing the best we can with whatever rules, but the g5 missed an opportunity not to make the NIT Basketball and NIT Football playoff mandatory to participate by the p2.

Re: TIGMA NIL

My son and I toured NCState yesterday. My son plays tennis. Yesterday, we toured the NCState Tennis facility with the NCState tennis head coach. (We got lucky....he is not being recruited he was just interested in seeing the facility) It was eye opening. Their tennis facility is probably nicer than ...

Re: NIT

Including the 12 teams from the power six conferences, I count 24 teams with better NET than we have. It would seem our main competition will come from teams that are bigger names that have NET in our neighborhood. We sit at 72, someone like Memphis at 76 or Maryland at 81, could get the nod before...

Memphis is out. Penny Hardaway said they won't play in that tournament since the tournament is being ruined by the current changes.
It won't be his call.

Re: NIT

It's ridiculous that we are even having this conversation. I understand losses hurt more than wins help when it comes to NET, but App has as many Quad 1 wins as Wake Forest and Syracuse, and those teams are considered locks for the NIT and are NCAA bubble teams depending on their performance in the...

Winning fills Holmes . Recruiting is greatly affected by large crowds .Or on the downside , small crowds. Certainly the ticket sale revenue makes a substantial difference. All that plays into building a program that can compete for a bid . I strongly agree with this statement, but we have to get of...

I am serious...the Regular Season Champ should host OR break it into 2 regional tournaments with the champions of both playing on a Tuesday or Wednesday home game for the higher seed of the two finalist. And if we continue to Be ESPN's property we should push for a Tuesday Night game at the home of ...

Re: 1-AA 2.0

The best outcome for g5 football is a CFP Playoff and an NIT like Football playoff for the next 16 teams. The TV Money needs the next 16 teams including some P4/p2 teams. Also, the exposure the g5 teams get will be better with p5 inclusion. It should be the requirement the g5 teams hold out for. 1 t...

Has the basketball team ever cracked top 25 AP or coaches? I don't remember it if it did happen.

Re: App Receiving Votes…No Longer Just One

No one wants to hear this, and for the record I really like the Sun Belt, but there are reputational advantages to the American. With all of the movement no conference is what it used to be. App is in the best place it could be and many schools would like to be in the Sun Belt Conference right now....

I would like to see an offensive set of Harcum, Mantis, Huntley at the three point arch with Spillers and Abson down low with an inside out plan to shoot three with Abson and Spillers crashing the board..

Re: 5+7 model close to passing. G5 would still get screwed

https://collegefootballnetwork.com/college-football-playoff-projection/ App predicted to make this year’s playoff by CFN. That’s pretty cool. I still think we’ll need to go unbeaten to have a chance, but also depends on what other G5 teams have accomplished as well. It would depend on what the rest...

Re: Free Throws

100% agree Free throws at the end of the game are nothing like a free throw in practice. I played a lot of basketball and the one thing that frustrates a player is missing free throws because everyone expects you to make them. This team is awesome and I will take poor free throw shooting all day vs ...

Re: Passenger Rail study funding from 2023 Q3 and 2024 Q1

Couldn't agree more with many comments about rail. It is a great way to travel, if done right. The problem with our democracy is people tend to vote what is best for them instead of what is good for the overall population. I love the idea of adding a tax to a gallon of gas to pay for rails across Am...
