Re: Eastern Carolina U
You guys look like you have a solid team. We got 11 new players but a couple of projected starters are out with injury including a top 5 JUCO player in the nation as well as a transfer from Virginia Tech. We should be a lot better as a team this year eventually but we already crapped the bed vs Nav...

Re: Josh Gattis
You’re just going to keep coming over here to chirp huh? As i keep telling you, Ruffins 2015 recruiting class had THREE GUYS finish their four years of eligibility and make any kind of impact on the field. And the 2014 class wasn’t much better. That’s disqualifying from the jump. Idk if Scotty Mo w...

Re: Josh Gattis
That’s the reason you’d like him to be the new coach? We’re really setting a low bar here. Ruffin played a huge hand in ECU going 14-34 the last 4 years, but he was an App DC for 3 years so... That's fake news as I illustrated prior. Scottie Mo owns nearly all of the terribleness because he's a ter...

Re: Josh Gattis
Can someone explain to me why Ruffin McNeil would be under consideration besides the fact he's been a head coach before? At this point the success he had ECU can be attributed to Lincoln Riley right? Yeah… Can’t imagine why we would want to hire a guy who had the foresight to pluck an obscure assis...

Re: Josh Gattis
OU still runs the ball very well, but throw the ball much better...I wouldn't mind that here. That said - Ruffin was pretty up and down at ECU. Still don't think they should've fired him...but it wouldn't really be the kind of hire I want us to make. I'm just saying - a huge part of a HC's success ...

Re: If Doug Gillin called you...
Ruffin McNeill. Bring Oklahoma Position Coach for OC and try to retain a position coach from Satterfields staff as DC. Too much talent on offense for it to be a run and gun variant. Passing game needs to be more efficient and ECU will always be wrong for having fired McNeill to hire Scottie Montgom...

Re: Early: possible replacements?
Well aware of how 2015 played out for you all. Go check his last 2-3 classes and see how many made it 4 years and/or were impact players, I’ve done it and it’s not good. #1 all of our best players under Ruff were practically afterthought recruits. Hardy, Carden, I. Jones etc etc barely had any D1 o...

Re: Early: possible replacements?
How would Ruff coming to Boone (BIG IF) be bad for ECU? I think Ruff was a heck of a recruiter, who's ties are deep in eastern NC. The biggest loss for Ruff at ECU was offensive savant Lincoln Riley. Sure but who was Lincoln Riley before Ruff tabbed him OC. Ruff had a succession plan, Dave Nichols ...

Re: Early: possible replacements?
Last couple years of Ruffs recruiting at ECU were nightmares. Tons of academic issues, character problems, and JUCOs. While Montgomery may not be a good head coach, Ruffin left him with next to nothing to work with. That's not even close to accurate. The team he left was loaded with most everyone c...

Re: FLORENCE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM
My parents have a home in Boone up Friendship church road. I am encouraging them and my sisters family to all go up there and ride this hurricane out there. Any concerns of landslides or anything when it historically rains like this? They are on the side of a mountain with a small creek a down it a...

Re: Why I can't Help but be Jealous of EZU
I'd add a few years ago ECU had the highest patent per research dollar in the nation and has given the world many groundbreaking technology pioneered at ECU like robotic heart surgery, bypass, speach easy etc. I haven't followed it as much in the past few years but it's hard to say any of these prog...

Re: Why I can't Help but be Jealous of EZU
For context you have to consider the time the med school was established. This was the late 60's, 20+ years before the interstate or modern infrastructure. While rural, there are a lot of people per square mile and without researching I think I have read before it's one of the more densely populated ...
