I didn't know App State was playing the University of Winnipeg this week

Remember it's not just the weather at the game site. It's also the availability of resources (security, medical, emergency), too. Surely many of those will be on standby for the eastern part of the state.

The direct impacts to western NC seem limited at this time, but you may have issues with game day infrastructure (EMT, police, etc) being needed in the eastern part of the state.

Still a long way to go in forecasting this one though.

Beaver Stadium's surface is very good. Short of super heavy rain, you rarely see guys having traction issues on the wet turf.

Clouds are a good thing for game time. That stadium gets very hot even in the 70s.

Remember no umbrellas in the stadium.

Penn State fans realize that App State might be the best OOC opponent PSU has this year. It may not show early in the season as App State settles into a new QB and Pitt always seems to play PSU tough. But by season's end, I'd pick App State to beat Pitt.

The purple lot is good as it's a reserved spot. But it can be a bear to get out of after the game.

The deadline for regular mail order for parking is Friday at 5pm.
