Re: G5 Poll
There is no proof of most programs paying players. It must be a very few that have ever done it. I appreciate their purity and commitment to doing things the right way. Yeah humanity!

Re: Is it time to rethink the sports we offer ?
I think we should review which former athletic alumni by sport give the most per capita and keep those. By bet is golf stays.

Re: G5 Poll
I believe the proof of big time programs paying players pre-NIL is in the file located beside every Covid 19 tin foil hat Covid theory from 2020 that came true. Have you checked there, lol.

Re: G5 Poll
Can't prove that either, there is no restriction of trade. Other networks don't see the value in the other conferences/programs due to lack of viewers. The game board is set and we have and will in my lifetime always be playing a few pieces short of a full set. It's ok though, that makes the upsets ...

Re: G5 Poll
Is there evidence of collusion? I’m not talking about, “well, look at the disparity.” Is there tangible evidence that these two conferences conspired amongst each other, along with ESPN and FOX to create an unfair equity system among college athletics? Unfair doesn’t mean that a foul has occurred. ...

Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion
I have faith in Clark to assess an offensive lineman. My comment is based upon our historical recruiting practices, which at times needed to trend to smaller/quicker players due to availability. Would love for these three to mesh with the others and grind the opponent down in the 4th quarter even wh...

Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion
Glad to see we’re getting some big boys. Different approach than going after the “undersized” but quick OL. Can these guys run our scheme?

Re: New WBB coach: Alaura Sharp
Spain, Iceland, and Aussie seems unusual. In her interview on the BGP she mentioned her success recruiting foreign players to PC and she’d tap into that pipeline at App too. It’s a successful play in golf and tennis across the nation and I’d assume we’ll see more of this in basketball across the na...

Why is that picture in that article, is there no shame in "journalism".

Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion
Sure would have liked to have had LB McCleod this past season. https://www.al.com/auburnfootball/2023/11/how-auburns-jalen-mcleod-rose-from-undersized-to-a-vital-pass-rusher.html Exhibit A. Football is a season behind basketball it seems with the fluidity of the TP and NIL. I'd expect the number of...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
No one is claiming dark deception. I’m using my eyes to see that he isn’t close to home in Dallas. There are many reasons to transfer and the getting closer to home reason was trumped by one or more other factors. Whatever makes you sleep better at night there Sunshine. Please don't do this yet aga...

There are D2 schools in CA. Close to home was not the driving force in the decision.

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
Freedom for athletes but may eventually severely damage or kill athletics for small/less money schools. But the big/money schools and overseeing organizations won't care they want to rule everything and get all the money. Greed has limits. At some point it causes you to turn on everyone. True but a...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
As this was likely addressed to me in the routine passive aggressive fashion, I will opine. My assessment of Mantis’ abilities are my own and shared with the guy that sits next to me at games. Haven’t spoken to any coaches about Mantis. My comments on Marsh were based on a conversation with Kerns i...
