Re: Where are we at as Appalachian football?
I didn’t say it’s always been a struggle. I said there are always games we should win that that are too close. You picked two of our most successful seasons to demonstrate your point as well. I think that’s part of the problem. Every year isn’t going to be the best year ever. Look back to the champi...

Re: Where are we at as Appalachian football?
I feel like some of you guys have very selective memories. Our program has always had close games through the good seasons. Especially against teams we should beat.
A win is a win. Winning a close one is good experience.
Some of you need to step off the ledge and try to enjoy the ride.

It’s part of the Hulu live tv package if you’re a Hulu subscriber. If not you probably can set that up for a free or cheap trial, you just have to remember to cancel

Re: Parking ECU Game
Yeah, I heard about that regarding First Baptist. Easy $$ the person should be there until at least 2 or 3 pm you would think. Often people buy two spots in that lot and use one to tailgate. Tent, grill, etc. once they pack up and head to the game it looks like they did t sell out but they actually...

Re: Official Buried treasure prediction thread
Correct me if I’m wrong but ECU has scored one TD this year and it was from the 2 yard line after a turnover. I’m not saying they won’t score a TD on a similar situation but I don’t think they’re hiding their offensive production from the world, I think they don’t have an offense.

The thing is, I’d say we are seeing the floor for him, not the ceiling. I’m optimistic that he will clean up some of the ill advised throws once Ponce crawls all over his ass a few times. I think he looks impressive and I’m excited about it.

Re: Up Next...UNC
People who compare every team we put on the field to the 2019 version are going to be perpetually disappointed. That was a special team. I’d love to live up to that standard every year but that isn’t remotely realistic As to our chances of beating UNC this weekend, I’d say that I’m perfectly comfort...

Re: Terminate Ted Roof's contract
Regardless of giving up those long 4th downs (my argument would be the offense being too conservative and not producing drives later in the game caused our defense to stay on the field and get tired) they held an SEC team to 21 yards rushing. That's impressive no matter how you slice it

Re: Shout out to App Fans
What a great weekend. Traveled down with 3 other guys who I went to school with back in the early 2000's and had a blast. We got a tailgating spot at Gamecock Park, hoping to be in the thick of the SEC tailgate scene. We showed up at 12:59 because the lot opened at 1:00. We were second in line. The ...

100% of play calls fail when the players fail to execute.
Adjustments can and should be made if the defense is taking something away from you, but you still have to execute.
Our team did not execute.

Re: Can we now shut up about being ranked?
Nope, I’ll always be happy we’re ranked and I understand the value we get from it. Not my fault you’re too short sighted to see it. It does not help if we constantly choke. We won't be ranked again this year. That is why many of us want to see we deserve it before we are ranked. We should not have ...

Re: Offensive Game Plan
ULL has a good offense. If we are winning, it plays to our advantage to keep their offense off the field. Especially if we are moving the ball. I simply don't understand the desire of some fans to see us "open up the playbook" or whatever each time we get the ball. There is more strategy to winning ...

Re: Observations 5 games in (long)
It seems pretty clear to me that Drink, smartly, plays ball control offense when we are ahead, even by only a FG and plays more aggressive when the game is tied or we are behind. As far as fans saying the play calling is "vanilla"....I don't think anything bugs me worse. "Flashy", or "Rocky Road" if...

Re: Why top 25 matters??? Unfortunately
Well, I think we all agree that losing to ULL takes us out of the TOP 25 conversation. You beat the teams that are on your schedule. Outside of UNC all of our victories have been decisive despite the fact that our fan base isn't satisfied with the points allowed That seems to be the argument that I ...

Re: Why top 25 matters??? Unfortunately
I'm glad that these guys are not AP voters as they seem to have a relatively low opinion of our team and the opponents we've played. We beat the Tar Heels (who had wins against ACC & SEC opponents) and they came 1 play away from beating Clemson the following week. We beat a CCU team handily that ha...
