JCline is still upset he can't drive up to Conrad Stadium 10 minutes before kickoff, park behind the asbestos field house, pay $5 and sit at the 50.

Re: Moving on to Southern Miss

what's the extended forecast? USM has a history of canceling on short notice due to rain.

Last time they did it, it cost App and the SBC a whoooooole lot of money and exposure

It’s painfully obvious something happened in the locker room at halftime of the JMU game. One day we will learn what it was.

Fans are apathetic to basketball at App.
the apathy began, became ingrained and was cemented under....Houston Fancher.

Re: The other coaches, how did they do it?

But back to your question. Yes, location does play a role . I was trying to be PC in my earlier post and I'll be careful again because the "ist" and "ism" crowd could take what I'm about to say the wrong way and I don't mean it that way but, a large majority of basketball recruits come from the mor...

Re: U Miss FCS?

My question is do you miss FCS or is FBS at the G5 level your cup to tea? I have raised this issue on the GS board with mixed results. As for me, I miss the FCS days. Sure, initially it was fun, but even if we had success every year, I would select FCS. Let's face it, with the money at the top of F...

Re: I don’t understand

I hear your arguments...but what is the payoff for being a Conference Champ? The players deserve a better venue and better bling........ AND we deserve a nice warm venue. Where do you think we "deserve" to go? Secondly, do you have any idea how many tickets Appalachian would have to sell to avoid t...

Happy Thoughts About the Camellia Bowl!

With the loss to Tennessee, this was the best possible outcome for us. Orlando? New Orleans? Our time will come there, and those of you upset about not being there this year, sure as hell better be there when we do get to those bowls. No excuses of "well I can't make it, my 2nd girlfriend from High ...

Re: Just in asu going back to Camilla

Very disappointed in Camilla bowl. I did not like Montgomery at all. YES I went last year and was not impressed with anything but our football team and our fans! The reason the aviator sold out of beer is because it is the only place downtown to go to...! The stadium is so small it's like being in ...

Re: ESPN

If we want ESPN to come back, we MUST win this game (and have it overflowing with LOUD yet respectful fans). I can't emphasize that enough. That being said, the AFN sports schedule for that time slot has been changed to "COLLEGE FOOTBALL: TEAMS TBD". It previously was Temple/Penn State on AFN Prime ...

Wake UP! It's GAMEDAY!

WAKE UP!! Why are you still sleeping!! As I type this it's 11:30 am where I am (east Africa) Thursday which means it's GAMEDAY where I'm at! After 2 years in the Philippines with no AFN, and now here, I'm relying on the WatchESPN app to watch games and your posts for info... I can't wait for some fo...

I don't get the Lynch over AE comments.
It's easy. We won without Armanti. We didn't win without Lynch.

Re: Who is your all Time asu favorite football alumni or coach

Corey Lynch. AE was fantastic, but Lynch was the heart, soul & glue to those championship teams. I personally always enjoyed watching Sterling Hayward, always thought he could've made it in the bigs. He was Steve smith type before Steve Smith was a type. Chuck Payne and Matt Stevens. Dexter Coakley,...

Re: Miami (The U) in Boone next year (yes this is football)

Since there hasn't been an announcement yet, there must be something in the contract, not $ related, holding us up. Most likely that would be television/ESPN. NCCU was not a TV-friendly game. Miami (Fla) on the road against an up & coming hungry program coming off its first ever bowl WIN, during a ...

We will have a very experienced team next year, with Miami getting a new coach.

I like this matchup. Very much. I might even fly home from the south pacific for it :D
