Re: Athlon 2019

I guess i should come to expect it from a few on here but if you’re penciling in UNC as an automatic win you really have another thing coming. They have plenty of talent and now they have the coaching to supplement that talent. Sure, we could definitely come out of there with a win but it’s just a ...

Re: Athlon 2019

Drink said when he was hired this is a top 25 program. Does anyone think going 8-4 would be satisfactory after the Satt era? Would that performance be considered a BIG setback to our program? I hope the answers are obvious. The NEW bar has been set whether everybody on this board admit it or not. C...

Re: Athlon 2019

So they have us losing to both UNC and USC..... You don’t? Nope and if we go 9-4 there should be some shakeup unless Zach Thomas is injured or we see a bevy of starters go down. I also don't see us winning the SBC with a 6-2 league record. Troy should be very good and I doubt we could have two loss...

Re: Athlon 2019

Not sure what to expect this year with an all new coaching staff. I know we are very talented, and the new staff seems to have the experience needed. It's all going to depend on chemistry, injuries, and if this staff can coach them up. This won't be the same UNC from the past two years. They've had...

Re: 2019 SBC Preview from SB

If our class every year was truly anywhere close to where the magazines and websites had us then Satterfield's staff are the best outside of Alabama and Clemson and should have been hired by Oklahoma, ND, etc to get them past Alabama and Clemson or they should have Louisville in the top 10 in 2 year...

Re: CBS Sports Predictions

If we start anywhere near there for the AP or coaches, there's a really good chance we roll into Chapel Hill as a top 25 team. If not, hopefully we roll out of there on our way to the top 25. I highly doubt we climb into the top 25 with wins over ETSU and Charlotte (assuming we get those. no whammi...

Re: Athlon 2019

I’m betting the last thing Coach D says every night before he goes to bed is “Don’t screw this up” Roof better be saying that as well. I'm going to be hard on our coaches because everything is in place to win. We have the best team in the SBC by far. We have speed, size in most units, and are very ...

Re: Athlon 2019

I'm not saying I will think it will happen, but it wouldn't shock me if we went undefeated in the regular season. I'd definitely be ecstatic, but it wouldn't be a surprise. We could. I could see 10-2 with a close loss at Troy and at Columbia but I could see 10-2. If we run our offense like we did a...

Re: Pro Day 3/28

He didn’t lie to anyone. He was debating this move last summer. Exactly. I’m not “close” to the team like some others like to claim on here, but it seemed pretty apparent during his sophomore season that he was going to go after his junior year. Regardless, calling him a liar (not you) and saying h...

Re: Undrafted But Signed Free Agents from App

Evans was the best all-purpose player in the league. Evans is good but App's offensive line and scheme never gets enough credit. You could ALMOST plug any running back on the roster in as a starter and get production from them. Evans has the home run speed of course but he isn't a good runner betwe...

Re: Pro Day 3/28

If there was ever a reason for you to understand why players leave early look at Jalins injury. Not saying he should have but look at the impact of an injury. I’ll never begrudge a player leaving to make a living. That works if you are indeed going to make a living and have your degree but if you d...

I’m puzzled, AppStFan1, at why you think it’s your mission on this board to anonymously trash one of our former athletes? Time and time on here you’ve proven to be nothing less than a gigantic wind bag. But let’s suppose for argument sake that your information is reliable. Who, precisely, is it hel...

Re: Pro Day 3/28

Adams is not as a big of loss as Collins. Adams was a Senior and was an All-American at down field blocking. He will be missed but not irreplaceable. Collins is a bit more of an issue has be leaves us more depth issues on the outside and now we will need to fill the void with some even younger guys...

Re: Undrafted But Signed Free Agents from App

Evans was the best all-purpose player in the league. That dude at Monroe was really good. I would imagine if outside media rankings would say ULM guy and then Evans from last year. No question that Evans is the best coming in this year. I feel like we have the best QB, RB, All-purpose, S, OT, LB, W...
